Rock the Vote launched a $250,000 ad buy Thursday in five states where tight battles for statewide and national offices are playing out, including North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
The ad grab is part of the organizations efforts to get young voters to the polls this election seasonpart of its trademark mission to make doing ones civic duty look cool. The organization has also been working to register over 1 million millennials to voteoften soliciting the help of celebrities including Miley Cyrus.
Though the ads are running in states with tight races, non-partisan organization says its less interested in the politics of the races and more keen on getting as many young people as possible to head to the polls.

Helped by Miley Cyrus ? She seems more interested in masturbating on stage in front of millions of people than much of anything else these days. Perhaps she’s good for motivating the nymphomaniac exhibitionist vote.
Care like crazy to vote for liberals. What a bunch of idiots. Pure idiots.
“I woke up this morning and didn’t know nuffin ‘bout nuffin but I know who Miley wants me to vote for”
I’m in Poland right now. I think I need to find the nearest embassy and turn in my passport.
I don't think these decrepit pagans should be able to vote for the country dog catcher.
These organizations are fighting an uphill battle; millenials are among the hardest hit by this economy, and can remember the days when things were much better. Many things their parents took for granted (stable employment, home ownership, health insurance, families of their own) are out of reach for them, and they’re not thrilled about it.
At some point they’ll stop showing movies from the 1980s; it is just too demoralizing for young people to see how much opportunity existed for young people back then.
Just promise them free iPhones, and they will line up days before the polls open.
Lol! $250k spread across five state. What does that amount too? About 2 non-primetime commercial plays in each state.....
Sadly, I feel too many Millenials are eager to surrender their freedom in exchange for a false promise of security. They are simply following the lead of many of their elders.
“Im in Poland right now.”
I’m envious. I love Polish kielbasa and gulumkis.
Better vote as if your future depended on it, kids, because Obama is putting you in debt for the rest of your lives on Earth.
Note that as I predicted they are injecting the promise of Student Loan Forgiveness into this effort.
