SHELBY COUNTY, TN - (WMC) - With concerns over the spreading Enterovirus, Shelby County health leaders are also preparing for a possible outbreak of the flu.

October is about the time of year that doctors start seeing more flu cases, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

That is why the emergency room at Regional Medical Center and more than a dozen Mid-South hospitals will be packed with fake patients on Wednesday.

High school and medical reserve corps volunteers will be transported in masses to at least 18 Mid-South hospitals, all with fake flu symptoms.

The Shelby County Health Department hopes Wednesday's exercise will test the hospitals' response in case there's a rush of patients. Experts say now is the best time to get a flu shot, in order to prevent something like this happening in real life.

The exercise will not impact daily emergency room operations at any of the participating hospitals.

Also a good training exercise for when Obolo starts to spread, although we have been told by the Regime that that cannot happen. Sarcasm of course.

Just yesterday I went to my local clinic for a follow up and wow I have never been so bombarded with pressure to take the flu shot. I told not now I will think it over since I am unemployed and always in my house. Last year did not get the flu. Yesterday was just wow they behaved as if I was going to catch the Ebola lol.

You got lucky last year - this year's flu is different. And you never leave the house to buy groceries, gas, go to church, etc?
If you think Ebola is funny, I suggest you read a book (or Internet) about the 1918 Flu Pandemic.

My sister in law caught this stuff a month ago on a cruise. They had the whole famdamily with them and everybody caught it. She relapsed a couple of weeks ago and finally broke down and went to the doctor. Now she has pneumonia and is in bed with 6 prescriptions. I’m shocked they didn’t put her in the hospital.

My cousin died in November 1918 from the flu - his 3 y/o daughter died the next day from it.
Very few families escaped unscathed.
