What's in a name? When you're an Islamist extremist group believed to pose an existential threat to the Western world, everything. In the past few months, we've seen the strange and somewhat revealing saga of what to call the group alternatively referred to as ISIS, ISIL, the Islamic State and Daesh.

Remember when the NYT in the Bush years could no longer deny that al Queda was in Iraq, and they began referring to it as ‘Al Queda in the Arabian Peninsula’?
Looks like Obama and him minions came up with the name “Khorasan” to deceive people - these people are al-Qaeda. Obama has claimed he crippled al-Qaeda and it is inconvenient they are now operating out of Syria.

Can you thumbnail the origin of the name?
Khorasan being an ancient name for the Afghan/Iranian border area, it’s a convenient catchall for that crowd of muslim savages who hail from that area. Who are they? Recall during the early years of the Afghan war we heard occasionally of AQ fighters escaping across the western Afghan border into Iran for safe haven. Khorasan is them. They ARE al Qaida.
Quick version of the Khorasan name.
We can understand the administration’s reluctance to refer to them as Al-Qaeda but what do they call themselves? Surely not “the group formally known as Al-Qaeda”. Digging deeper into the Koran one does find mention of the black flags from Khorasan. (Black Flags) The black flag represents the army from the land of the rising sun (To the East) who will march west and hand the first defeat against their enemies in the Muslim version of Armageddon. The final battle is to take place in the Levant, which consists of Syria, Lebanon and Israel. The fight will reach its conclusion when the black flag rises above Jerusalem.

Like I said in another post, the Obama crowd made up the name to keep him from looking like a fool for previously saying that he had “al-Qaeda on the run”. He’s an effing muslim coward and will stop at nothing to make himself look good.
