Serbia initiates the exclusion of Russia from the UN Chairman of the Serbian Radical Democratic Party of European Milivoje Dzhankovich said that his country submits to the General Assembly of the United Nations initiative to expel the Russian Federation not only from the Security Council and other UN bodies, but also in general of the organization.
According to the Serbian policy, the Russian Federation for its actions in Georgia and especially in Ukraine not only trampled on the UN Charter, but also all of the principles of international law and human morality.
In addition, using its financial position and availability of energy, Russia is putting pressure on all countries, which may affect the termination of the Russian-Ukrainian War. Even the most traditionally friendly Russian Slavic countries, Belarus, Bulgaria, Serbia and Montenegro have experienced the strongest political and economic impact, as a result of which they have to change earlier decisions, Russia sign imposed unfavorable contract and fulfill its obligations to the detriment of their own interests.
In Ukraine, by force, in the Balkans - the economic and political blackmail Russia is trying to achieve its imperialist goals, regardless of people's lives and the world recognition of borders.
This behavior is incompatible with the status of the country - a member of the United Nations, because the Republic of Serbia through its representative at the United Nations will take steps to prevent the Russian Federation from the organization, the newspaper quoted Dzhankovicha "Nezavisnost Novine" in the issue for September 23.
How ‘bout we just exclude the UN from the planet Earth. We could make the world “a better place.”
My impression is that the two countries with historically strong ties to Russia are Serbia and Bulgaria. And now Serbia wants Russia expelled from the U.N.!
Bulgaria is planning to build additional nuclear power plants - one proposed site would use a Russian design while the another would use a USofA design. The Bulgarians recently decided to go with the USofA design, partly because of difficult relations with Russia.
So neither of these countries trust Russia now.
RevMom, Jesus's return would be good timing about right now. If God is mad at the entire world and yes even His Church ... Katie barring the door is not going to be of any help.
I for one would be curious about their opinion of such.
Awww,.. is the Nobel Negro having trouble getting his aggressive warfare fiats rubber stamped by the UN?
And who are these brave Muslim kissing Serbs? The ones kneeling in front of Bent One Clinton? Or the "Serbs" in Kosovo.
Go back to your drug running, kidnap for ransom and White Slavery.
“... expel the Russian Federation from the Security Council of the UN ...”
-
Laughable.
Russia launched World War I to protect Serbia against retribution from Austria-Hungary after the assassination of their archduke and his wife.
Bulgaria, even though it was allied with Nazi Germany in World War II, did not send soldiers to fight them on the Eastern Front. They were used almost exclusively against Yugoslavian partisans.
??
I thought Serbia and Russia were allies or something? Is Serbia still pissed that the Russians didn’t invade Kosovo for them?
The Council is composed of 15 Members:
five permanent members: China, France, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, and the United States,
and ten non-permanent members elected for two-year terms by the General Assembly (with end of term date):
Argentina (2014)
Australia (2014)
Chad (2015)
Chile (2015)
Jordan (2015)
Lithuania (2015)
Luxembourg (2014)
Nigeria (2015)
Republic of Korea (2014)
Rwanda (2014)
Good for them. They’ve seen through Putinism.
Rather the Serbs should demand the removal of both the nations of the OIC as well as Russia. . .both have had detrimental effects on their existence. Actually, ridding the globe of the UN would benefit all.
I don’t know that Bulgaria has ever trusted the Russians.
The answer to the eternal question, “How do we make the U.N. even less meaningful?”
I don’t know if a member of the “Serbian Radical Democratic Party” speaks for historical Serbia anymore than Obama speaks for me.
And if the Georgia invasion is a real reason, it only took them 6 years!
Gimme a break. This is boring, boring, boring U.N. posturing. Let’s not pretend it actually matters.
Please, please, Serbia, submit a proposal for the USA as well.
Doesn’t Russia have a veto in the UN?
How can a country with veto power be kicked out?
...hence my #7...
“In addition, using its financial position and availability of energy, Russia is putting pressure on all countries,,,”
Noooooooo,,, you mean like Saudi Arabia?
