Liberal billionaire Tom Steyer invests $1 million in Democratic fight to take Washington Senate

Tom Steyer, a California hedge fund billionaire who has emerged as a key Democratic donor, has put $1 million in a Washington fund in a reported effort to win Democratic control of the state Senate.

The Washington Senate is now controlled by a coalition made up of 24 Republicans and two Democrats.

One of the two democrats mentioned is from our district in western Washington and is the only dem I’ve ever voted for in my 62 years on this planet.

Steyer is also giving tons of money to try to unseat Maine’s TEA Party governor, Paul LePage.

It is no different at all. I marvel that some call the Koch’s “Patriots”. They are not. They are enemies. Right, Left it doesn’t matter ... America is being sold at a fire sale thanks to Citizens United. The billionaires merely pretend they are on different sides.

Small investment. Steyer expects to make tens of billions - maybe hundreds of billions - from a carbon tax/carbon credits trading scheme.
