How about for every westerner beheaded we Force 100 Islamic people to become Christians and denounce Islam? What cound Obama do if he had any balls?
1 Declare war in IS as a state.
2. Bomb their oil fields into ruble.
3. Torpedo any tanker that hauls IS Oil.
4. Bomb their “Capital” into rubble.
5. Give support to Assad—
6. Give support to Christians in the IS—
7. Put a 10 Million dollar reward for Al Baghdadi—Dead.
8. The airbase they captured—Blow it to pieces.
9. Any group that joins the IS—gets the same treatment.
10. Ask for American Volunteers—one Million Strong—to be the Boots of Vengence one the ground to go to Syria/Iraq and put things right.
Of course they will...it keeps the creeps on the front page.

As far as I can tell, he's some sort of mountain guide who is also an amateur photographer. Lots of nature photos - including some scantily-clad female nature. If his captors figure that out, he's toast regardless of what the French government does.
One day, some western nation will respond to this sort of threat with a counter-threat to destroy every mosque within its borders - and then actually do it. It won't be us, sadly.

I think one of the things that most astonishes me about these ISIS animals is that they are afraid to show their faces.

Not good. It was definitely foolish of him to go there - he probably thought he was such small fry he wouldn’t be worth their time. Just proving that Muslims see everybody as prey.
I think that if we responded strongly to this, as you say, simply going and wiping out a mosque every time they did something like that, that would take care of the problem. Islam only gets knocked back by brute force. That is what it has taken every time.
But we do nothing. Heck, we even have some mosques in this country that are active supporters of ISIS and the Federal government is forcing local jurisdictions to give them building permits to expand. The Muslims feel pretty secure and I think they genuinely believe that they are really going to take over and destroy us this time.
You wouldn’t see your head rolling down the street because your eyes are in your head. You might see the ground and the sky alternatively as your head was rolling down the street. I suspect that they would hold it up by the hair and you would get to see a bunch of masked Islamic crazies taking cell phone videos.
