Dont forget about Michael Brown and the people of Ferguson. Weve largely moved on from reading about the daily and nightly protests, civil unrest, and the toxic relationship between the St. Louis County suburbs police force and its citizens, but this story is far from over Michael Browns killer, after all, is still on paid leave. It all raises an obvious question: When will Officer Darren Wilson be charged for shooting Brown, if at all?
The simplest answer is that it could be a long time, if it even happens at all. Thats because the decision whether or not to charge him criminally for the death of the unarmed Ferguson teen is squarely in the hands of a St. Louis grand jury, and theyve been given an extension on their timeframe to make the call. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the grand jury will now have until Jan. 7, 2015 to decide. That doesnt mean they definitely will they could come out next week with their decision, theoretically but it could be that justice for Michael Brown is still a long ways off.
Wilsons current status has been one of many instigating factors in the fervent protests throughout Ferguson since the shooting, the people of Ferguson have weathered a militarized police force and the use of tear gas on otherwise peaceful protesters and journalists, while Wilson is effectively in hiding, collecting paychecks all the while. And thats not the only cash hes got coming in a GoFundMe page supporting Wilsons cause raised a staggering $235,125.
With tensions already as high as they are, it seems like a lot to ask the people of Ferguson to possibly wait over three months more just to find out if Wilson will face charges, but there you have it. Itll be essential to follow how the community responds for that stretch of time.
Obviously, theres no surefire guarantee that the 12-member grand jury will actually decide to indict Wilson (nine of the 12 need to agree to bring charges). There have been concerns by some advocates for Wilsons arrest that Ferguson police may have tainted the jury pool with the release of a videotape of Brown committing an apparent petty robbery before his death, a wholly unrelated incident. The Blots Matthew Keys revealed Sept. 5 that Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson apparently lied about why the tape was released, claiming that media inquiries forced him to do so.
In any event, its looking like a long-haul kind of situation, with a communitys collective angst and humanity hanging in the balance. And no matter what the grand jury decides, the story isnt going anywhere a criminal trial for Wilson will be every bit the high-profile media event youd expect, and if hes not indicted, thatll spark a severe amount of scrutiny too.
Chris needs to be dropped off in Micheal Brown’s neighborhood and see how he likes it. This punk accuses the cop of “murder” repeatedly.
The TRUTH won’t come out until AFTER the election. In the meantime, what a great way to energize blacks alienated by Obama.
“Wilsons cause raised a staggering $235,125.”
That ain’t a “staggering” amount of money by any means for a case of this magnitude...not that the case is of this magnitude inherently, but amplified by the usual suspects it is sure to become an epic battle.

“with a communitys collective angst and humanity hanging in the balance..” All code words for a leftist. Notice he never mentions the word “truth” in the entire article. He is not interested in truth, just more of the same condemnation from the left. It is not about truth, it is about their agenda, whatever that means on any given day.
The dems are hoping it comes out before the elections - preferably around October - and the Grand Jury decides to NOT indict.
Mike Brown already got his justice. Nobody else should have to suffer.
Is it just me or does it seem surreal to everyone else that the official Ferguson police report detailing exactly what actually happened during the Michael Brown incident has never been released? To this day we have never gotten an official version of what Darren Wilson said happened. Its insane.

Truth is, I think the dems are behind extending the grand jury until January, This whole thing backfired on them. More looting and burning will only backfire on them again.
Besides, January is past the elections and it is also cold and less fun to riot.
Anything out of the grand jury should be held until after the election.
But if they decide to no bill, I’m pretty sure it’ll be released at the optimal time to assure protests and increased turnout patterns.

Better yet, he will be acquitted a week or ten days before the election.
Can you say “October Surprise”?
He fails to mention that the same source, "Go Fund Me" raised a staggering $470,000 for the Michael Brown family.
Walking it back...reality

...
It’s normal. The police seem to always present their case in an official formal setting, while the other side attempts to try the case in the media.
I believe they stopped taking donations. I don’t know the reason.
three days before election day.
