Green Jesus. That is the image that now greets visitors to the Huffington Post Religion page at the very top. If you think that the Huffington Post has an agenda it is pushing, you would be correct. A total of seven stories are devoted to the topic of global warming in general and Sunday's "People's Climate March NYC" in particular.
The extent that the Huffington Post is inappropriately using religion to push a worldwide political program of big spending programs on a problem that doesn't exist can be seen in the "religion" articles used to hype this agenda. The desperation of the Huffington Post to link religion with global warming alarmism produces some hilarious results starting with the very title of this article, Green Spirit vs Climate Change:

No smoking hot spot1. The greenhouse signature is missing. We have been looking and measuring for years, and cannot find it.
Each possible cause of global warming has a different pattern of where in the planet the warming occurs first and the most. The signature of an increased greenhouse effect is a hot spot about 10km up in the atmosphere over the tropics. We have been measuring the atmosphere for decades using radiosondes: weather balloons with thermometers that radio back the temperature as the balloon ascends through the atmosphere. They show no hot spot. Whatsoever.
If there is no hot spot then an increased greenhouse effect is not the cause of global warming. So we know for sure that carbon emissions are not a significant cause of the global warming. If we had found the greenhouse signature then I would be an alarmist again.
Now that “global warming” has finally been designated as a religion by the Huffies, when are the feral “judges” going to use their “wall of separation” to have it removed from our schools? Kerry has also stated that we need to “fight” this natural phenomenon in order to save the Islamic “religion”. All of this is a violation of the “wall of separation”.
Joe Bastardi of WeatherBell Analytics showed some of the sponsors of that event, it was all communist and socialist organizations.
I heard a greenie on t.v. assert that God destroyed the world by flood because of humankind’s abuse of the planet.
These people are insane.
This government is in violation of the establishment clause.
Global Warming is a religion.
Algore is the prophet and Gaia is the god. Non-believers are demonized and should be punished.

Thanks PJ-Comix. Apropos of nothing, I’ve always thought Michelangelo’s depiction of Jesus in the Sistine frescoes to be the most accurate.
The idea that Global Warming could ultimately be declared a religion and thereby excluded from schools, etc; is absolutely delicious.
Not worth losing the country over, though, and you know which one is gonna happen first.

“People’s March for Forced Collectivism and One-World Government”
