Civil Rights Leaders Denounce ‘Django Unchained’ Actress, Demand Apology To LAPD

INGLEWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Civil rights leaders Friday called for a “Django Unchained” actress to apologize to the Los Angeles Police Department after she claimed officers racially profiled her.

Project Islamic Hope President Najee Ali, Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable President Earl Ofari Hutchinson and other civil rights leaders held a meeting at 9:30 a.m. denouncing Daniele Watts after a recent incident.

Watts, 28, was detained by officers responding to an “indecent exposure” call on Sept. 11 in the 11900 block of Ventura Boulevard in Studio City.

Police said they had received several calls about a couple engaging in lewd behavior in a parked vehicle. Watts, a black woman, said they were merely showing affection and claims officers were racially profiling her because she with her white boyfriend, Chef Brian James Lucas.

An audio file recorded by a sergeant captured Watts refusing to give her identification and insisting officers were giving her a hard time because of her race. LAPD Chief Charlie Beck defended the officers’ actions.

Civil rights leaders previously called the incident a blatant act of racial profiling before the audio recording and several photos were released.

“We have nothing to be embarrassed about. She should be embarrassed. She’s the one that told the lie. She came and stated she’s a victim of racial profiling. We found out later on based on new information that she wasn’t,” activist Najee Ali said. “We didn’t make a rush to judgment. We can to aid a victim who we thought was victimized. For us, she’s wrong. That’s why we’re demanding Daniele Watts apologize not to LAPD but to our community.”

I thought this would be sarcasm. I haven’t seen any stories about hoaxsters being called out by the civil rights groups before.

Najee Ali is simply another race baiting a. h.

He didn’t even have the facts before he started to shoot his mouth off. Now he’s embarrassed. Well, he should be.

STFU Nagee...

Nobody needs your help. Get your own act in order.

Too little. When the “ civil rights leaders” demand an apology from the looters on Ferguson, then that will mean something.

And there you have it. Idiots. They're only offended because they look like fools for believing the lies to the LAPD.

Hell hath no fury like that of an islamic 'civil rights' race-pimping activist leader scorned.

“she with her white boyfriend, Chef Brian James Lucas. “

The real reason for the apology demand.

I'm curious as to why lewd heterosexual behavior in a parked car is an offense deemed worthy of arrest whereas lewd homosexual behavior in a public parade is deemed worthy of celebration.

That's the discrimination argument she should have made.

Its because, for whatever reason, it is now cool to be gay. Gays are a recognized grievance group per politically correct thought. Members of grievance groups can do no wrong.

Whereas heterosexuals are not a grievance group. Thus they are held by a different standard than members of the gay grievance group.

Obama started Race card mania so she was just participating in the latest fad. I was waiting on line the other day at a bagel shop and this black guy was standing in front of me and ordered coffee with milk and when he drank it he got mad and said “I asked for goddamn sugar” and the counter guy said “You didn’t ask for it” and the black guy said “You a racist mofo” YEAH! Race card mania! Everybodys doing it!
