She's exactly right
Anyone who votes third party and that includes libertarians throws their vote over to the rats. When are you going to wake up?

I agree with that sentiment. Well, until the TEA party (or whatever it gets called) completely separates from the GOPe, which is the only way this can end well, IMHO.

So if we assume your premise is correct, when is the GOPe going to run a candidate that the conservative base can vote for? It seems to me that the GOPe is trying to gain 1 or 2 percent from the middle, yet at the same time, intentionally pissing off 5 to 6 percent of the base.

"(Take a moment to notice something, Republicans: No incumbent Democrat had to deal with a primary challenger this year. That's one reason why Democrats win more elections than their insane ideas would seem to dictate. Liberals understand that you can't do anything if you don't win, so Democrats don't stage primary fights against other Democrats.)" So you don't think rinos should face conservative challengers in the primaries? I've done my fair share of holding my nose (Dole, McCain, Romney) but damn if I will not try to get rid of rinos in primaries.

She is right if all you want is for the water in the pot to keep rising to a boil at a slower pace.
The Republican party only opposes the Democrat party for reasons of its own power. The Republicans aren't going to do away with Obamacare -- its just that it'll be the GOP reaping the rewards, not the Dems. The Republicans aren't going to really close the border, they are just going to make it look they are trying to "solve the immigration problem" while trying to buy up Latino votes.
The "conservatives have to vote Republican no matter what" crowd just hasn't realized that there is no difference between the national political parties in terms of ever-expanding federal power and growing the government.
Does voting third-party guarantee a victory for Dems? Probably so. But voting Republican doesn't do anything to change the direction this country is going.
Hell, I'm not sure voting makes any difference at all anymore.

Where did I say I would vote for a third party or libertarian? Are your reading skills poor or are you just stupid?
