Australian counterterrorism forces detained 15 people Thursday in a series of suburban raids after receiving intelligence that the Islamic State movement was planning public beheadings in two Australian cities to demonstrate its reach.
About 800 federal and state police officers raided more than a dozen properties across 12 Sydney suburbs as part of the operation -- the largest in Australian history, Australian Federal Police Deputy Commissioner Andrew Colvin told the Associated Press. A sword was removed as part of evidence at one of the homes.

If they want to demonstrate their reach, what better location than to behead people right here? What I don't understand about what they tried to do in Australia was 'public' beheadings as reported in the article. Public Beheadings? Like in some downtown location? In someone's backyard? It remains to be seen what they mean by 'public' beheadings. Whatever the case, beheadings are coming to the US in some form or another. It won't be a few posts before US beheading recommendations will be suggested by commenters, of the political kind.
Yeah, but what are they going to do with these 15 people? Let them go after giving them a stern warning??? These people should at the very least get deported from Australia (in body bags), along with their families.

Australia has a greater percentage of Muslims in relation to their population compared to the USA.

Yeah, but it’s like 9/11. There weren’t that many Muslims here then either but they still went after us because we’re the Great Satan. The same principle would work in this case as well, I think.

My first thought was I bet those Aussies wish they had access to guns. With all the gun owners in Texas I doubt the Moslems would even try such a plan here.

Now assume that 99.9% of them are peeeeeeeeeaceful and only 0.1% is ISIS related — 2600 rampaging in all 50 states beheading people and making the videos available.

Let's begin with the actual numbers: The Soufan Group, which conducted the most comprehensive study of the foreign fighters in the region, reports that over the last three years, about 12,000 fighters from 81 countries have joined the civil war in Syria, far more than went to Afghanistan.
Of these, around 2,500 to 3,000 are Westerners—some of whom are fighting for the Assad regime in Syria and some for rebel groups of which ISIS is only one. France, England and Germany, the biggest suppliers of European jihadis, have contributed about 700, 400, and 270 recruits, respectively.
And the United States? "Dozens (70+)," notes the study.
This works out to 0.00003 percent of the total American population and 0.004 percent of the American Muslim population. A much higher percentage of Americans upset with the "system" join violent gangs and political cults every year. Between 2000 and 2008, the United States birthed 298 new hate groups, four times more than the total number of American individuals who have gone jihadi.
There is nothing new about a small number of Americans bolting to join foreign armies fighting for anti-liberal causes. Over 2,800 Americans enlisted on the communist side in the Spanish Civil War, despite America's official policy of neutrality (because, as in many current conflicts, there were no clear good guys). What's more, in the first eight months of 1931, when Stalin's atrocities were approaching their zenith, more than 100,000 Americans applied to emigrate to the Soviet Union, several thousand of them successfully.
I'd say by sheer numbers alone, supporters of ISIS in America are quite PUNY.
Don't get me wrong, they are still dangerous... because all they have to do is to call on say, 10 armed suicide Jihadist to congregate around an unguarded elementary school in a suburb and hold children hostage (much like they did in Breslan ), or for double that number to wreck havoc in a shopping mall ( much like Al Shabab did in Kenya ) for the world to notice ( and believe me, that's EXACTLY what they want ).
