Vice President Biden's Wednesday kicked off with an acknowledgment that he had used a "poor choice of words." By day's end, he had put foot in his mouth again. Twice.
Biden opened the door to the possibility the United States could commit ground troops to fight the Islamic State in Iraq, a strategy the Obama administration has painstakingly avoided raising. That came shortly after he walked back his use of the word "Shylocks" and his use of the anachronistic term "Orient" to describe Asia.
Even for the gregarious and outspoken vice president, whose candor has all too often gotten him into hot water, the trio of eyebrow-raising remarks in about a 24-hour span was something to behold. Two of the "he said what?" moments came in Iowa, the first-in-the-nation caucus state where anyone thinking about running for president, a possibility Biden has not ruled out, needs to make a good impression.

What’s amazing is I don’t think he even realizes just how much of an embarrassment he is. Seems as though he’s completely oblivious as to just how moronic each statement is and the need for an immediate apology. Guess they drilled too deep when he had his hair transplants, because he’s been this way for as long as one can remember.
POTUS, VPOTUS, and the entire clown car needs to go ASAP.

What I find interesting is how the Post has turned on Biden. It’s as if there may be a primary in the future that they want some former first lady to win....
The LSM says Slo' Joe is, aw shucks, just gregarious, yet Cruz is a firebrand and extreme.
It’s not a gaffe if it’s completely consistent with all of his past behavior. A gaffe is something out of character that surprises people. Joe Biden being an ass surprises no one.
Joe has been doing this for 30 years, it’s only now that he’s going to run against Hillary that the media will point them out.

Why is a Republican wasting time manufacturing "undertones" of racism out of whole cloth? I am tired to death of Political Correctness nitpicking. Asia is a continent - which includes a whole lot of countries from Russia to India. The Orient has been, since written time, a geographical trading region of Asia. Like 'The South' is a geographical region of the USA. And the 'Outback' is a region of Australia. In some areas of the world, 'Asia' is understood to mean India and Pakistan, not China or Japan and certainly not Pacific Islanders. Pacific Islanders are not a continent, they are Islanders. If Ninio wants to paint with a wide brush, will he also agree to call Russians "asians" too? Doesn't he have more important RNC matters to attend to - like getting some fellow republicans elected into office? Good grief, Charlie Brown.
Okay, I’ll be the first one up to rip on “Uncle Joe”. My personnel favorite being when we all “Stand up for Chuck!”, however, Orient? Is Orient truly a faux paus now? I had no idea that to call the area of the world known as Asia and the South Pacific the Orient was out of bounds. Are we getting a little too sensitive out there? What’s next? We can’t call this part of the world “The Americas”?
Joe Biden came out yesterday to say that we have nothing to fear from ISIS. All we have to do is go outside and give them 2 shotgun blasts, in the air. That will be enough to run them off.

I should revise and extend my remarks to say the part of the world that is eastern Asia and the South Pacific being called the Orient, not just Asia because not all of Asia would be considered the Orient.
