Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz Closes Clinic in Wisconsin

If everyone is so happy about abortion, then why doesn’t Planned Parenthood promote and brag about it the same way they do their breast cancer “screenings” or cervical exams? The answer is simple: because while the pro-abortion lobby pushes their radical agenda, most people don’t want to hear an abortion giant brag about killing children.

I thought about this as I read an announcement in the FDL Reporter about the closing of a Planned Parenthood in Wisconsin. Here is what Planned Parenthood representatives said about the upcoming closing:

We feel privileged so many of you have trusted us to care for you during important and sometimes vulnerable moments in your lives. Planned Parenthood is proud of our record of caring for 1 in 5 women at some point in their lives through access to breast and cervical cancer screenings, birth control services, STD testing and treatment, as well as health exams, education and care referrals.

Through our years of experience in being with our patients during some of their more private moments, we know the importance of providing compassionate, quality health care for women, men and families and empowering them to make their own informed health care decisions. Over the years, we have served well over 36,000 women, men and families. Last year, we provided 7,448 medical services to 1,104 patients.

While the numbers are significant, they don’t tell the full story. Over the past 36 years, we have come to know many of our patients on a deeply personal level.

From holding the hand of a patient concerned about a lump in her breast or helping a woman understand her treatment options following a positive cervical cancer screen, we have been there with our patients during difficult times.

We have been honored to work with parents in sharing honest, accurate information with their family about how to prevent a pregnancy and the transmission of STDs. And we have been there with our patients during moments of relief and appreciation in providing a woman with her first health exam, to hearing the outcome of a diagnostic test and reassuring a patient with no health insurance that we will care for her no matter what.”

Did you notice that nowhere in the article did Planned Parenthood mention their abortion services? In fact, they didn’t even allude to it. I find it hard to believe that Planned Parenthood believes abortion is so wonderful considering they won’t even talk about it even though it makes up 90% of their services to pregnant women.

Yet, some abortion advocates believe that abortion services are so vital and good for women that we should hold fundraisers and online drives to help women pay for the deadly procedure.

One pro-abortion writer wrote in RH Reality Check, “Abortion is common. Abortion is normal. And abortion is safest when it is legal and accessible—something abortion funds help to ensure in an increasingly hostile political climate. There’s nothing shameful about having an abortion, and nothing shameful about funding abortion. It’s so not-shameful, in fact, that you can be the kind of regular ol’ human being who eats a taco or drinks a beer and funds abortion.”

It’s very interesting to me that this writer claims there is nothing shameful about abortion, but when Planned Parenthood is asked about their massive abortion numbers, they quickly reply with the not-even-true statistic that abortion only represents 3% of their services. Or when Planned Parenthood is lobbying at the legislature, they say their organization exists to decrease abortion.

The truth is even though more and more “pro-choice” people are supporting abortion-on-demand– abortion still doesn’t sell well. If it did, in Planned Parenthood ads and articles we would see something along the lines of, “Come to Planned Parenthood to get an abortion today!” or “We want to help! Donate to an abortion fund NOW to help women get discounted or free abortions at Planned Parenthood!”

If abortion warranted bragging rights, the article about the Wisconsin Planned Parenthood closing would at least include abortion in their list of services they provided to women over the last 36 years.

Thankfully, most people do not want to celebrate or praise abortion. And I for one am glad that on September 25th another abortion facility is closing down because Wisconsin lawmakers can see past Planned Parenthood’s bright pink propaganda.

Oh Boy, more “street rats” in the future now that they have closed the clinic. (sarc)
