This low-fat dogma is killing us.

No bake sales this year at my son's high school so parents are having to pony up a lot more money for band and sport fees.

But now they all get "free" lunches (that 2/3 refuse).

Thanks so much, Mrs. O!

DECA students, who have removed candy from their store’s shelves, have found some of their most popular sellers, like Arizona brand beverages, have to be sold in smaller cans to qualify.

So stupid and authoritarian, trying to control the content of every food item and drink, and also trying to control portion size. Hopefully enough schools will continue opting out that this entire central planning and control nonsense will collapse due to its rejection by students and school systems.

Miller said the school district and her company, Sodexo

I taught in the public schools for over 30 years. When I started, the cooks actually cooked. The lunches usually included deserts—blackberry or cherry cobblers. Since FedGov has taken an interest, the “cooks” merely heat prepared food. Only giant companies can deliver meals with measured levels of sodium, calories, etc. etc.

An interesting project would be to see how much money companies like Sodexo are making by selling meals (that are mostly thrown away) to schools. Remember, this is nationwide. The sums of money must be enormous. It is kind of like Bill Gates promoting Common Core whose test must be taken on computers.

Would you mind deleting New Hampshire out of topics? I clicked on that by mistake. Thank you.
