He made clear the intricacy of the situation, though, as he contemplated the possibility that Mr. Assad might order his forces to fire at American planes entering Syrian airspace. If he dared to do that, Mr. Obama said he would order American forces to wipe out Syrias air defense system, which he noted would be easier than striking ISIS because its locations are better known. He went on to say that such an action by Mr. Assad would lead to his overthrow, according to one account.

This is even though the Administration has been trying to go to war with Syria since 2011. I think they are going to use this campaign as an excuse to attack Syria.
What is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS about this is that Russia and China will go to war against us if we attack Syria.
Here is the link in case you forgot. Don't forget that Russia has been practicing bombing and preparing for Nuclear war with us.

All this because Saudi Arabia wants a gas pipeline in Syria that Assad refused to sell them. Oh yeah but you will be lied to that that is for freedom. Yeah and I have a bridge to sell you.
The war that America is waging is against anyone who is not ISIL. We are the foot soldiers of the Caliphate now.
We don’t say it — but it’s true.
This is the part of the article that people on twitter are mocking:
“If he had been an adviser to ISIS, Mr. Obama added, he would not have killed the hostages but released them and pinned notes on their chests saying, Stay out of here; this is none of your business. Such a move, he speculated, might have undercut support for military intervention.”
The only thing “haunting” the muslim resident of the white hut is satan—from the beginning, today and forever.
Assad is the only target.
The only “intricacy of the situation” that Obama is considering is the nearest golf course.
Poor Obama.
He so dearly wants to complete his fundamental transformation of the USA and his persecution of Bitter Clingers, conservatives, and other undesirables but these pesky foreign problems keep interfering.
Please tell me you're joking. I hate to read that fishwrap.
Exactly and well said! Most people don’t realize this. This is NOT GOOD.
If Obama was serious, then we would be providing aid and support to Assad. We would not be flying military jets over his city.
This is an extremely dangerous to have U.S., Syrian and Russian military forces all in the same area.
Beautiful, if only Hitler had thought to pin millions of threatening notes to the Jews instead of slaughtering them he would have kept the U.S. out and win the war.
I read that statement as Obama being annoyed by the fact that the media is making him bomb a few ISIS trucks now after the stupid beheadings.
ISIS takes him seriously. The Moslem Brotherhood takes him seriously. AQ takes him seriously. They know that he is one of them and doing what he can to blunt Americans’ and Europeans’ pressure to kill ISIS.
The Sultan in Washington may have inadvertently given the Kurds just enough breathing room to mount a steady recovery. They are the second most capable force in the ME. I hope the pressure form the voters is enough to keep some supplies and arms dribbling to the Peshmerga. Cameron and the French are not hamstrung by a Moslem ISISophile CEO the way America is and maybe they can get up the will to see this through to Kurdish success.

*****Pinned notes!?? We’re seriously doomed..
Just because you hate twitter doesn’t mean that I have to.
Pin notes, like a teacher does to a kindergartener. Yes, we are doomed.
Sad thing is we took out the only means we had for defeating ISIS. Assad was killing them with WMD before we got involved.
