I probably missed the explanation, but if all he is doing is ‘securing’ the station, wouldn’t it have been best to turn the lights on for that large room? Or maybe the three of them just arrived before the officer did.
As soon as I read that, yes, I could see where it was heading. I am not a conspiracy nut, but this one conspiracy, I DO believe in, that there is a democrat/media conspiracy to foment racism and division, by putting forth the myth: white people=bad and racists. Minority people=good and tolerant. Screw them.
No discipline for the cop....not a nickel for the fireman or the kids.
Lot of idiots here had already judged the cop guilty.
As time goes by there will be far less complaints against the police for “racist” actions. This will be the inevitable outcome as more police departments adopt body cam policies and more people discover they cannot so easily lie about police behavior as they have in the past.

If I was his Captain or Lieutenant he would be on probation until he personally apologized to the police officer and sent a letter to any of the media people he had talked to explaining how there was no racial component to the incident.

Two NY city police have told me on two different occasions that they have caught firemen stealing from houses after they had been in from a fire, but the charges could never go forward.
I wouldn’t have minded being a firemen in most areas Hang out for 24 hours in a station, work out, watch TV, have your wife come to the station to hang out ,and have hardly a call which calls for any danger.
The firemen here hardly do anything, infact it’ss rare to see a firetruck moving out of the station
