LOS ANGELES —

Tim Tebow is taking the field for "Good Morning America."

ABC said Thursday that the Heisman Trophy winner is joining the program as a contributor starting Monday.

Tebow will be part of the show's new "Motivate Me Monday" segment that highlights people and their stories of triumph. ABC says he'll appear in the studio and from locations across America.

Tebow is an analyst for ESPN and the SEC Network. He led the Denver Broncos to the playoffs in 2012, followed by short stints with the New York Jets and New England Patriots.

When he was hired as a college football analyst for the fledgling SEC Network last year, Tebow said he still hopes to play quarterback in the NFL.

He brings more to the table than Chelsea Clinton did to NBC.

What do you get when you cross a sleazy politician with a greedy corporate lawyer...Chelsea.

Good for him. Kids (and some adults) need a positive role model.

Brady Quinn gets to be a backup QB in the NFL but Tebow gets snubbed? Actually Tebow is too classy and good of a person for the corrupted NFL anyway.

People can say what they want, but Tebow is an example of blackballing by the NFL.

He pretty much was. While he’s not of caliber to start, he’s more than good enough for a backup role. Better than many team’s second QB. While I don’t think there is an organized attempt to keep him out of the league. The situation resulted in a defacto blackballing. No GM or head coach wants to deal with the distractions or the pressure to play him when the starter has a bad game. The GM and coach on most teams literally have their job on the line every year and can’t afford the risk

Wow. Poor Tim must really need the cash. I can’t stand watching GMA. I think it should be renamed “Good Morning Oblivious Idiots.”

That's what Michael Sam supporters are saying.

Anyone know if TT tried to go to Canada? I think that’s where Manziel will wind up.

Tebow would be a really good fit for the Canadian game. And if he won a couple of Grey Cups he would start getting NFL offers.

Tebow reminds me of that guy in the joke. The one where the water is rising and everyone is evacuating and he stays with his house saying, "God will provide." Along comes a truck and the driver offers him a lift and he refuses saying, "God will provide." The water gets higher and along comes a boat offering to help, and he sends it off with the same answer. The water rises and he's on the roof and along comes a helicopter, which he sends off saying "God will provide." Eventually he drowns and when he gets to heaven he asks God what happened. God replies, "I sent a truck and a boat and a helicopter. What more did you want?"

Well, God sent Tim Tebow the Broncos, the Jets, and the Patriots. Maybe that's His way if telling Tebow that football isn't where he belongs?

Good one.

It would seem like a scrambling style would suit him best in the CFL. And i think Manziel will get to that point.

I don't know. It's more of a passing game in the CFL with the bigger field and the distance between the offensive and defensive lines. I think Tebow just doesn't have the accuracy to make it.
