“But there is one vital element of the domestic violence dialogue that ignites torrents of unwarranted disapproval: an examination of the dynamic of the women who stay with, and even defend, their attackers.”

Awww, you know I thought the author was actually going to broach the taboo subject of female initiators of domestic violence, since it was Rice who got hit first.

This whole thing is so cut and dried... that I don’t understand how the media or anyone at all can be confused about what happened.

A man struck an woman and in this case, struck her hard enough to render her unconscious.

The severity of the blow is incidental. That there is ANY difference of opinion as to what this IS, I don’t GET.

HE broke the law. Whether or not she cares... he DID break the law!!

Many of the fans are supporting Ray Rice, after the video was released. This just shows how far gone much of this country is.

Watch enough episodes of Jerry Springer and you’ll inevitably see women behaving abusively towards men who are merely assumed to have cheated or have actually cheated on their significant others. While some of it may be just an act, some of it is authentic. Whether the cheating happened or not, it’s not enough for a woman or anyone else to think that it’s “okay” to physically harm a man but it happens all of the time! I am in no way condoning violence against women but I most definitely am pointing out that there is a greater scope of domestic violence in America than what the media makes us aware of.

Rap music is full of references to laying the smack down on your woman.
So....racist.
