Every generation of oppressed Jews have a contingent of self-hating Jews, who set themselves apart, and often take the side of the oppressors.

It the movie “The Ten Commandments,” it was the character “Dathan” (played by Edward G. Robinson), who sides with the Egyptian task masters.

In the NAZI concentration camps, they were known as “Kapos.”

Today? Well, they’re educators, comedians, and writers. Like “Stewart.”

I've been reading Hannah Arendt's Eichmann in Jerusalem, and I know just how right you are.

I was wondering about the Communist "intellectual" of the 60's, the late Susan Sontag, who was quoted back in 1966 or thereabouts in one of the mass newsweeklies (don't hold me to it, but I think it was Newsweak) as saying "[t]he Caucasian race is the cancer of the planet."

What charm. It's a wonder we aren't all Communists, with a Maecenas like that.
