God is inside Vladimir Putin. A divine light transfixed Putins essence after his secret baptism as a child. We are not worthy of the Russian president.
These were a few of the tenets advanced by radical Russian Orthodox activist Dmitry Tsorionov in a September 7 lecture that marked one of the more bizarre expressions of a many-faceted grassroots cult of personality surrounding Russias paramount ruler.

'We're Not Worthy'
As techno music murmured in the background, Tsorionov paced with a microphone in front of a large screen showing psychedelic lights. He opened by citing Vladislav Surkov, once the Kremlin’s chief ideologist, who said in 2011 that Putin "was sent to Russia by fate and by the Lord."
Tsorionov cited the Russian government’s harsh crackdown on opposition protests and Putin PR stunts like his staged discovery of sunken artifacts and his participation in the rescue of endangered cranes as divinely inspired acts.
Not surprising this “New Rome” would develop a cult of Emperor worship.
Mad Vlad wants to combine the evil empire and holiness, the Holy Evil Empire!
I was hoping that our resident Putin worshippers could offer us some insights on this subject.
What could they offer? One of them is probably Dmitry Tsorionov himself.
Look up “Hitler Shrines” in Nazi Germany. Or Look up Rasputin, The Mad Monk (who, by the way urged the Czar not to get into WW I—really not so mad of an idea). Putin won in Georgia, won back the Crimea, Now looks like he will get his way in Ukraine—He’s on a roll. Look to see him in Moldavia next.
I’m Serbian Orthodox. In so far as we say “All you who have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ,” (Jelici vo Hrista krestistesja, vo Hrista oblekostesja) that would be true. From an Orthodox perspective, that would include all who are immersion baptized three times in the name of the Holy Trinity, and not just Orthodox Christians.
The claims made for Putin seem to me to be what a poorly translated version of what Orthodoxy teaches for ALL baptisms would be: Christ restoring in the individual through His death and resurrection that which we destroyed, allowing us to unite ourselves to God. This is also often used AGAINST baptized politicians who fail to live up to what they are called to through Baptism, a charge I have seen levied against Putin as well.
If the priest is claiming something more, then he’ll probably be dealt with fairly quickly.
Likely candidate for being the anti-christ.
I thought anti-christ candidates always had problems invading Russia.
Putin is more likely to be Gog.
bump
Mad Vlad also compared Lenin’s remains to holy relics. The man worships the Soviet dictators of old.
The Russian Orthodox Church say it is God inside of Putin. The Ukrainian Orthodox Church say it is the devil
Dmitry Tsorionov isn't a priest, just an Orthodox-Nationalist freak. He's not much known in the English-speaking society. In Russia he's got some publicity with several protest actions, which often were of violent nature, and some ultra-conservative statements in social networks.
