If the Republicans manage to win the Senate and keep the house, they better remember something. The country did not put them into office because they are madly in love with them. They will win because the Independent folks and some democrats could no longer hold their nose over Obama and the democrats. If they do not make the effort to communicate good conservative principles, their time in office will be only a brief respite from our country's decline. Let's hope not. Let's hope it will be something to build on for 2016.
Don’t fool yourself.
Conservatives are to the GOP-E what the Blacks are to the DNC.
A sizable minority they want to manipulate for their votes.
Meanwhile, the Chamber of Cronyism are the ones pulling the strings of the GOP-E.
When Newt led the pubbies to majority status the Republican dummies went hog wild and spent my money like drunken sailors on shore leave.
Guarantee ya the morons will do the same making them zero difference that the Dems.
If it’s just a repeat of 2000-2006, why bother? We’ll end up with another, broader version of the Patriot Act. Conservative principles my tail.
If the Conservatives do not take full advantage of pushing our agenda and exposing people like Van Jones, Valerie Jarrett, Elizabeth Warren and others that has been pulling the strings for Obama, they will be just as guilty when the Good Ole USA folds its doors. God help us, we don’t deserve your mercy.
I’m betting on only “a brief respite” of rapidly advancing leftist fascism.
We might as well all stay home. Surely the democrats will change their ways if we give them the house. They’ll start promoting conservatism rather than trying to eliminate it. /s
We will have to show up en-masse and surround the Capitol from Election Day through January to keep them from passing amnesty in a lame duck session.
Nothing will change unless conservatives win.
If republicans win a majority in the senate the odds are 99 to 1 that they will just go back to swilling at the trough and screwing taxpayers.
The main thing that will change is the names of the cronies getting sweetheart deals with taxpayer money.
Republicans had many chances during the Bush administration to curb the out of control federal government, roll back oppressive regulations, reduce spending, go after criminals in government and fulfill their responsibility to the people who elected them..
But they spent most of their time stuffing their own pockets and the pockets of their cronies.
When they did pass legislation most of it was to pander to liberals or expand the size and oppression of the government.
If the GOP takes control of the Senate, it will be by a narrow margin.
Remember, it takes 60 votes for cloture.
Very little will advance through the Senate even under GOP control. But, at least they will be able to point to the DNC as the roadblock to legislation.
I’m rooting for the Republicans not because I expect them to change much, but because I love to hear liberals wail and sob.
If the Republicans “win”, this is how they will govern:

No difference between the GOP or the Democrats.
It’s a UniParty Oligarchy in D.C.
Most of the country can’t handle conservative principles they refuse to except the truth it’s the result of reeducation training by the democrats for the past twenty years.
The mess we are in is the result of democrats in power for the last five years and they have nobody to blame even the news media is alone on that deal.
The GOPe hasn’t won yet. 2-3 seats will be all they pick up. Not one dime’s worth of difference.
All this is problematic, of course. Given the 'Pub propensity for blowing elections, I'm starting to have my doubts that we'll get control. It may end up being 50-50 again, and that means Bite Me has the deciding vote. What a bummer that would be. Already we're seeing third-party (Libertarian) candidates starting to peel away voters and it may be just enough to hand the 'Rats a few Senate seats again. And if we field not-ready-for-primetime candidates who will stick their feet in their mouths (remember IN and MO last time out) it could cost us a couple more. That means the 'Rats are back.
I'm hearing a lot of this lately. Stupid reason to vote for a RINO if you ask me. Conservatism still loses.
Maybe some bills passed by the House will get voted on and sent to Obama, and he'll have to put up or shut up on them.
He will have no problem vetoing all of them or ignoring all of them and claim they are obstructing his agenda.
Finally, keep the nuclear option in place and pay back the 'Rats in spades by blocking Obama's nominees to lesser posts (at least). Keep as few 'Rats as possible in place with their hands on the levers of power.
McConnell already vowed to restore the Filibuster rules as a first act if they take the Senate, so the 'nuclear option' has already been flushed by McConnell himself.
You're stuck in a fantasy of wishful thinking. Wake up. The GOP is not going to save us or slow the 'Rats down. They are going to enable them further.
