needs to be clearly pointed u that this whole ISIS mess is laying squarely at his feet for his interference in the ME and his wilfull dereliction of duty on Iraq.

I think he is making a preemptive strike - on Congress. He doesn’t want a genuine war on ISIS, professionally and effectively planned, and with a chance of succeeding, because he actually doesn’t want them defeated. They’re his boys, the ones who most radically hate the West. But at the same time, he can’t go on looking making the latter too obvious by doing nothing.
So I think he’s trying to keep Congress and even the generals out of the loop by announcing at the very start that he will decide what to do, no input from anybody, and then going ahead with a few symbolic feints or even empowering other groups (such as the Syrian “rebels” that were the source of ISIS) with weapons and materiel that will eventually end up in the hands of ISIS and even strengthen it.
This is a very dangerous move, IMHO.
The Tyrant is saying that HE WILL DECIDE if IS will be
an Enemy or invited to Rule Americans in Obama’s
Moslem America.
I expect Obama to try to “degrade” ISIS on the cheap. He will provide inadequate forces to do the job & try to micromanage the generals (remember LBJ), which means our troops & our allies will be in unnecessary danger. We could lose/waste precious US lives under the “leadership” of our doofus-in-chief. Planes could be shot down. Hostages taken & beheaded. The headlines from the war will be bad.
Congress would be smart to let this fool make a bigger fool of himself, by himself. They can't stop him, but they don't have to endorse him. If they formally support this action, Obama will blame THEM when it goes bad; & it will go bad - see his past wisdom on Egypt, Libya, Afghanistan, & Iraq for reference.
