Let’s not count un-hatched chickens (appropriate name for many republicans)

If the GOP gets 7 seats, we’ll have amnesty by March 1st.

I do wish the pundits would learn to keep their dam moths shut! Do you think this will demoralize Democrats? Think again. They are not weak kneed Republicans that throw up their hands and walk away. Now that Labor Day has come and gone, expect the Democrat long knives to start their rape, pillage and burn of all things conservative.

There is really no excuse for them not picking up a minimum of 13 seats . . . except that these are Republicans we are talking about here.

Sadly, McConnell may be the least of the problems. Let say the GOP gets the net 7 seats. The GOP will control the senate by a narrow 52-48 edge (counting the two indies in New England who will vote with the Jackass party).

You can be damn sure McCain and Graham will consistently cross-over even more than Mitch to make Biden the tie-breaker.

If not both, then at least one plus another RINO such as the weak sister from Maine.

Bottom line is that we need more than a mere +7 gain.

I think Mitch ought to be re-elected, but he ought to be challenged as leader.

I would really really really like a veto proof majority in both the House and Senate.

Cut spending.
Repeal Obamacare.
Require border enforcement.
Defund the EPA.

That is just for starters.

Winning seats is good because repubs will probably lose some in 2016, but this is just a stepping stone.

A republican senate can do very little except block a few more appointments.

Such a win would put Hairy Reed off to one side, but does not ensure any conservative advances.

I pray that he is correct about NC! Kay Hagan would never have won six years ago if Obama had not been on the ballot. I did not vote for Thom Tillis in the primary, but he is more conservative than most Freepers give him credit for being. He has helped enact changes that have already positively impacted our state - although, to hear the Democrats tell it, the state may never recover from these “draconian” cuts.

We can afford to let Cochran go down then. Bear in mind, we get a majority, and schlub Angus King will caucus with the Repubs anyway. I also expect Manchin to jump ship. Time to kick out Thad Cochran.
