Probe widens from the health department investigation.
The New York Police Department is investigating Joan Rivers' death, a police source confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter on Saturday.
The 81-year-old comedian passed away on Thursday after being taken off life support. The previous week, she had entered Yorkville Endoscopy for a routine procedure on her throat when she reportedly suffered cardiac arrest. She was admitted to Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan later that same day.
"Yes, NYPD is investigating," the police source told THR. "We investigate all such deaths, meaning 'not by natural causes.' Although it might end up being ruled natural by the [medical examiner], when it's not readily apparent, we investigate,"
On Friday, the New York City's Medical Examiner's office told THR Rivers' autopsy was "pending further studies."
The New York State Department of Health has launched its own investigation into Rivers' death.

Wasn’t it just a week or so before her death she was defending Israel and said the Palestinians got what they deserved for starting the whole thing? I know it sounds very tin foil hat but when she said that I joked with my husband she’d be dead soon. I was even going to post it to my Twitter account (different name) just to be able to say I told you so but thought differently as I didn’t need NSA at my door over a prediction and didn’t want to joke about someone dieing but look what happened.
Breitbart, the young guy in the Mercedes, her, etc., etc...
The conspiracy theories are going to spring up everywhere. I am tempted to verbalize my own theory. I hope the NTPD gets to the full truth.
I think they will discover she really is dead.
I hope they do not sweep the truth under the rug.
There are claims she was given same drug that killed Michael Jackson. The drug, Propofol, is used to help patients relax during medical procedures. It is commonly used in the induction of general anesthesia and can be used both for the induction and maintenance of general anesthesia. It cannot be done by the same doctor doing the medical procedure. That would be too dangerous because one needs to keep all their attention monotoring the life’s signs while administering it. There is no room for error. The question is, did the doctor doing the procedure also administer the drug? That would spell malpractice and even involuntary manslaughter.
Because of its potential for stopping one’s breathing and cardiac arrest, the person administering Propofol must be equipped to do advanced cardiac life support if the need arises. Did the clinic have the proper equipment and the personnel present during the procedure trained to use it? For that reason, the use of Propofol is best left for hospital use in the intensive care unit or in the operating room—not a clinic!
For the ease that Propofol can create failure, this would be the perfect drug to use for one with homicidal motive to end a life and make it look like a mistake. Then, we would be dealing with First Degree Murder!
Was the anesthesiologist named Mohamed?

NJCT ping?
And it’s also possible that Ms. Rivers, at age 81, died of natural causes.
Too bad people are wasting their time and resources speculating, spreading rumors and spinning wild conspiracy theories instead of concentrating on major crimes such as Benghazi, the IRS, Fast & Furious and so on.
I saw a headline the other day written by Alex Jones about this, but didn’t bother to read it. I would guesstimate he has come up the same conclusion.
My prayers are with Melissa and the family.
None of that is the job of the NYPD.
It is also possible that the anesthesia used and the administration of it was proper and she had an unexpected allergic reaction to it which caused cardiac arrest. Just a theory ..
I wouldn't worry too much about doctors named Mohamed -- they like their suburban McMansions, kid's private schools and Mercedes/BMWs as much as the next guy. At least not as much as I'd worry about the minimum-wage smurf who picks up the syringe of medication from the clinic pharmacy and hands it to the doctor performing the procedure. Obviously, something went very, very wrong, since Ms. Rivers died. Medication errors are not uncommon at all, even now in 2014. Did she receive the correct medication? Was the dose correct, and not 10 x the required dose? Systems generally fail at their weakest link.
> I’m sure this, about two months ago, is totally unrelated:

0 didn’t’ do it. Satan did it as a courtesy for his son...
She has now enetered his death pool list
Yes, that’s a perfectly reasonable possibility as well. She was 81. Surgery is risky in many ways for 81-year-olds.
It’s appropriate for New York authorities to be investigating the death. If an avoidable error was made, and especially if there was a deliberate violation of safe practices for the procedure, the public should know about it.
The first news report at the time, said said respiratory failure leading to cardiac arrest.
My thought at the time was it sounds like she was overdosed on anesthesia, and wondered if the anesthesiologist may have had any issues with Joan Rivers. You can’t disregard that possibility in these times {jihad).

Maybe mistakes were made, or maybe everything was done properly, and the circumstances that lead to her death were unavoidable - but would the NYPD be conducting an investigation if this were an unknown 81 year old woman, rather than a well known celebrity, whose death has resulted in yet another media frenzy?
The NTPD?
Dooooooood! Wait.......wut?
Was there and anesthesiologist?
