I predict that this is the closest the "dreamers" will ever get to their precious amnesty. The fundamentals are rapidly changing in this debate, and the new, ever-changing situation on the border does not favor the illegals.
As the nation wakes up to what Obama did with the unaccompanied children aliens, and it will -- overcrowded school buses, tuberculosis, scabies, rare respiratory viruses, etc. -- and as the threat of ISIS in Mexico intensifies, and as the likelihood of Ebola crossing our borders becomes more inevitable, the only illegal immigration reform acceptable to the American public will be to shut our borders once and for all.
The only "amnesty" that the American people will stand for after this is the amnesty that allows border jumpers to go back before they are shot. All illegals already in the country will be viewed with suspicion, fear, and ostracism, and the last thing anyone will want to do is give them citizenship.
This is my prediction (hope) and I'm sticking to it.
The Third World is motivated by envy and greed.....an ancient formula going back to Greco/Roman times: a powerful, thriving bountiful country being overrun by savages, barbarians and thieves lusting after the country's power and riches.
Mexico and Central America have no other aspirations than to confiscate our tax dollars to facilitate armed conflict to takeback the SW and ultimatley overtake America, itself....and they are throwing their savage populations over the border to advance their hidden agenda.
THIS WE KNOW the barbarians figured out that vote-crazed US pols respond to pressure groups---so they connived to empty out their villages---driving the savages across the border.
The immigration reform pressure groups are being coached by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, La Raza, and other violent latino groups, advocating the overthrow of the US government

Mexico and Central America have huge fecund, illiterate underclass that they refuse to support w/ safety nets, even though Mexico has billions in oil riches....and the US has sent hundreds of millions of dollars in foreign aid to these corrupt hellholes.
Why are so many US politicians willing to let them use America as a dumping ground? Vote-crazed US pols need votes. They are colluding w/ agents of foreign governments to import huge surplus populations, promising endless freebies....in exchange for votes.

I agree with everything you say in your posts. What I am saying is that soon, most all Americans will agree too.
As the border situation degenerates into something no politician can hide from, Americans will rise up and put an end to all of this nonsense.
Unfortunately, it will take a big crisis for this to happen. ISIS, Ebola, mystery diseases from the unaccompanied minor aliens — these things will turn public opinion about the border.
The question is when that will happen and if it will happen too late....

Even if a substantial number of democrats lose House and Senate seats in November, they will still be in office until January, and will do the bidding of their crooked friends in the U.S. Chamber of Amnesty....err, Commerce.
