Whenever the left wants do do something for your safety, you can bet your last dollar that they really want to do it for some nefarious reason. In this case to create a database of all gun owners.

“Does anybody know the stats on crime with guns that are transferred between private sellers?”

Good question but the supporters of this initiative don’t care what the answer is. Guns laws like this aren’t intended to stop criminal behavior but just to punish gun owners, because gun owners don’t support Obama or lefty politicians.

It’s meant to be registration of gun owners so the ATF knows where to go when Ubama gives the order.

Agreed. It’s alarming just how far down this dangerous path we have gone.

Usually what happens when two initiatives both pass during the same election and conflict with one another in whole or in part is that the one passing with the most votes is held to supersede the other one.

Do you have examples of this? I really want to know. My thought would be since I-591 doesn't nullify I-594 but just delays it that it would take precedent since I-594 would completely nullify I-591.

In at least some states where I’ve lived, that’s actually written law. Don’t remember which states unfortunately.
