Prolific bank robber Willie Sutton when asked why he held up banks supposedly said, Because that's where the money is.
Bill Gertz of the Washington Free Beacon, who reports on an FBI internal document stating that Cuban intelligence is targeting American academia and university professors to recruit spies, brings to mind Sutton's declaration.
Why should Cuban intel target colleges? Because that's where the communists are.

The only up-side of this is that so-called ‘professors’ in the fever swamps of grievance ‘studies’ departments probably have little to no usable intelligence (in both definitions of the word) that Cuban agents could exploit.
I think they are looking for students that can be sleepers and get future johs in government.
The Communists never give up and never stop. They have been at it since at least the turn of the 20th Century and even a little prior. I had avowed Communist profs at the U. of Illinois in the early 50’s.
