I agree its a small contingent, but they’re going to be deployed in the Kurdish autonomous region where they’ll (hopefully) have a greater impact.

CSOR is similar to the US Army Rangers and likely will be helping train the Peshmerga in special ops.
I would not be surprised if members of JTF2 are also deployed covertly, since rarely does the government discuss JTF2. Members of JTF2 have in the past, operated with the US JSOC and the UK's SAS and SBS in Afghanistan and Libya. Facta Non Verba is their motto, something that the Bathhouse boy could learn from.

Let me explain.
Canada is roughly 10% the size of the US in population.
"Several dozen" turns out to be about 35. Proportionally, this works out to about 350.
