Those who claim they want higher salaries for the working class should fight for an immigration shutdown. We don’t need immigrants, yet we’re taking in a million a year plus illegals. It makes no sense.

I wonder which of those people protesting would be willing to give up their position so a fellow employee could receive that $15/hr?

My brother and my oldest son both worked at McDonalds as teenagers. It was never in any of their minds, my mind or anyone else I knew that this would be how they would make their life long livelihood. The problem of lack of opportunity is with all levels of government. They put so many burdens on business that the opportunities to get better paying work only exists at a minimal level compared to the past.

I have a friend who started out flipping burgers at McDonald's. He never protested. He just worked like hell and kept advancing up the ladder. He owns four franchises now.

I often thank the employees that work fast food because we all know that’s maybe not where the want to be, but “stuff” ain’t free for everyone. Thanks to those that do their job and not so much to those that are buying into the union line of BS. More dollars/hr, less workers. Duh! The walk outs would be the first to go. Buh bye!

Here is the bottom line quote: “With that, he wished me well, hopped into his Maserati, and drove off down a California highway.”

Yo! Knuckleheads!

Work hard. Stay sober! Persist!

The Maserati can be yours!

I grew up in Downey from early 1946, when my father was discharged from the Navy, until April of 1956 when we moved to La Mirada.

I still remember the sign when they said ‘50,000 Burgers Served!’ We all thought, that’s such an unbelievable number of burgers.

Pretty soon, it was a 100,000. Then, one day, the sign said ‘A Million!’.

A real mind-blower back then.

I went there about 20 years ago just to experience a little nostalgia for when California was the ‘Golden State’.

As a good student learning job most still live at home. Most of their parents support them while they learn the ropes of being first employed. King Obama has killed the job market so the fast food and simular places have been flooded with wage earners that support familes. The problem is not minimum wage but a failed economy.

Under Bush the dimoKKKRATS ridiculed him for the so-called McDonalds type jobs. Now under Obama McDonalds type jobs are mainstream.

If you contract to work for a progressive liberal, they should not ask “How much are you asking for the job?”, but rather “What do you need to support your family of five and big mortgage?”

Hah! Not for nothing and a complete non-sequitor but, Mike Piazza’s dad was my client in the 90’s.

Anyway, could swear the oldest McD’s is in San Jose, on Almaden Road.

Replace them with a machine....

If a buzzer can tell a human being when to turn a hamburger over, surely a machine can be programmed to do the same.

Ditto for fries.

Again for all other fried food.

Considering that Trumpka and Cass Sunstein are footing the bill for this ridiculous street theater.

I find it odd that Unions are scraping the bottom of the barrel to fill slowly emptying and dying lower tier Union ranks.

Those coffers for bloated Union pensions pland aren’t going to fill themselves!

The article says that the National Labor Relations Board had said that all McDonalds can be treated as one entity for union organizing purposes. What is unclear is whether this decision was made by the Board that the Supreme Court recently ruled was illegal due to Barry’s attempt to pack the NLRB with his half-wit Marxist buddies without Congressional approval, making null any decision made by the board. It’s difficult to keep track of Barry’s illegal Marxist shenanigans.

Great response. This person needs to be hired by the GOP as their spokesperson cause the leadership are too incompetent to give that clear and reasonable response.

Today I heard someone whining about their pay wage. Ok I thought you can work another job at Fedex or UPS which I hear pay great.

They’ll turn a few of them into automats, so they can try to justify limiting hiring to those with university degrees.

Flipping burgers was never meant to be a career job or a family support. There are many other places an under educated person cam work and make more. Fast food is at or near the bottom of that list.
