I thought so at the time but figured the administration must have a lot more information than me to justify it.

And Obama has only made the situation worse.

Kicking him out was a great move. Where we failed is going soft on the slime that roam the region.

We delude ourselves as a country, that we are civilized and that militant islam vermin will accept coexistence.

Wasn’t Saddam a partial ally at one time?

ISIS had earlier names. It was originally the terrorist group linked to al Qaeda referred to by Colin Powell in his UN speech as having been in Baghdad and northern Iraq in 2002. It was called al Tawhid and later merged with Ansar [when Mullah Krekar passed the baton to Zarqawi], then it became al Qaeda in Iraq, then ISIS, now ISIL. It was partially supported by Saddam Hussein and used by him to attack his opposition the Kurds in northern Iraq [specifically assassinating leading Kurdish peshmerga officials], and members of Saddam Hussein’s intelligence service were in its leadership from the beginning. Before we invaded Iraq it had a cell in Baghdad which is where Zarqawi went to get medical treatment; they murdered a Catholic nun there by decapitation. In Jordan they assassinated USAID official Lawrence Foley- before our invasion of Iraq.
This was the group the leftists and the press were in denial about when they claimed that al Qaeda had nothing to do with Saddam Hussein’s regime. This was the group that had been making chemical weapons in their camp in Iraq. In spite of the fact that al Qaeda and Zarqawi’s group had adjacent training camps in Afghanistan and even shared trainers and trained each others’ personnel, the Dems and the media persisted in claiming al Qaeda had nothing to do with Iraq and used the technicality that Zarqawi had not yet been known to have sworn an oath of allegiance to bin Laden to justify their mythology. He later did swear the bayat to OBL but only after Saddam Hussein had been executed.
After we went into Afghanistan alQaeda personnel fled to Iran where they were assisted across the border by Zarqawi’s group. Zarqawi finally met his end in a spectacular crossed-missile airtrike during the Bush admin, and a new leader eventually emerged.

I believe the American people were sold a bill of goods in Obama. I believe he is a Muslim Trojan horse. Remember Obama is the one who got rid of Ghadaffi(sp) in Libya and Sadat in Egypt. Currently trying to overthrow Assad in Syria. He allowed groups like ISIS to grow. IMHO he lost the peace and all we gained in Iraq.

Remember the USS STARK.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Stark_incident

The USS Stark incident occurred during the Iran–Iraq War on 17 May 1987, when an Iraqi jet aircraft fired missiles at the American frigate USS Stark. Thirty-seven United States Navy personnel were killed and twenty-one others were wounded.

Sorry bro but while it may seem dumbass to you it was a necessary step in the middle east. You actually think that life under Saddam was any better than it is today? President Bush did what should have been done under the Clinton regime and typical of all short minded leftists, Bush was excoriated for his entire eight years for doing what needed to be done.

Iraqi and American officials looking at one of the trenches at the Mahawil, Babil site 2006 (New York Times)

American forensic specialists going through remains at the Samawa site in Muthanna province 2005 (AP)

Torture house, mass graves discovered in Iraq

Ironic as it might seem the above article was written by CNN as if they were surprised by the findings..........

The true facts were disclosed by the once CNN Baghdad Bureau Chief, Eason Jordan, the gutless journalist who admitted after Iraq was liberated by the United States, that he, and CNN were fully aware of all the attrocities that were occuring in Iraq under Saddam Hussein while President B. J. Clinton was in office but never reported on such attrocities because they wanted to maintain their Baghdad office.

FWIW, the photos posted above are the most benign of those that are readily available on the internet............

But as a reminder, I offer you these........
