Kazakhstan has the right to leave the Russia-led Eurasian Union if its interests are violated, Kazakh Pres Nazarbajev said, speaking to Khabar TV, Tengri News reported Aug. 30.

Kazakhstan will not be a part of organizations that endanger its independence, Nazarbajev said.

They’ll be next ones to get whacked. Putin won’t have anyone leaving his empire. One of the Putinistas will be along to tell us why what Putin says goes. You know the usual “He’s a strong leader” poppycock that allows Putin to kill adversaries and bully other countries. It makes a mockery of his Christian pretentions that so many of his policies and tactics have to do with kicking sh*t out of anyone who doesn’t do as he says.

No, that was Kyrgyzstan; we had a transit station at Manas. Putin didn’t like it so he put the squeeze on the country. He is, after all, let it never be forgotten, a Christian and a strong leader to be admired, or so I’m constantly told.

It was actually Russia who ‘squeezed on the country’ to allow USAF in Manas after 9/11 in the first place.

Yes, that’s correct your Putin did that and he squeezed to get the US out when he changed his mind. Dictators are like that. They’re mercurial and self-serving.

You say as it is a kind of senseless hysterical acts. Allowing US into Central Asia was a hard decision for a Russian military and policymakers at the time. You simply have no idea. Also there was a really titanic work by Russian military and intelligence to make it easier for US troops in Afghanistan.

“Recall also that Pres Putin declared at the youth Seliger forum that Kazakhstan had never been an independent country in the past.”

Putin keeps confirming what I have said about the former Soviet Union; that it was no more than the communist’s assumption of ALL the attributes of the previous Russian Empire; same game, different players

I have also recently learned that the “Soviet” land grabs in Eastern Europe were not far afield from attitudes of the old Russian Empire; after being reminded that Ukraine was the first homeland of the Russians and Ukraine’s old empire once encompassed a number of its neighbors, including large parts of Poland and Lithuania, until history altered its ascendance and a Poland-Lithuania empire grabbed parts of Ukraine. The old Eastern Europe rivalries and memories remain active in the political soil of Russia.

Well, I know how paranoid the Russian mind is and how it’s all got to be about Russia. So we should all be grateful for such a superb effort and wonder why Putin in his tyrannical ways changed his mind to make things worse for US forces.

And just as the Bolsheviks and Communists had their fellow travelers, Putin has his Putinistas. They’re dupes and apologists working up weird sophistries for why Putin’s entitled to bully his neighbors and decide what nation is a nation and what one needs to be brought under his control.

These are all just fake countries that are really just part of Russia according to Mad Vlad Putin. Oh and yes he specifically mentioned their ally Kazakhstan, or is that former ally?

Yeah, but we both know that there are people on this forum who won’t believe Russia is at war with Ukraine until Putin decides to say it is, which, by the way, Obama is doing too. I keep thinking that the Putinistas have more in common with Obama too since he’s Putin’s enabler.

I don’t believe that you are really that stupid. That shocks me the most is that US is not exploiting situations when it manages to diminish Russian influence in one place or another. America simply fails to hold a ground.
In case of Central Asia it is all for the red China to benefit.

Americans could give two hoots about Russia and Russians if Russians would behave like a decent and civilized people instead of being a cruel and continuous empire builder. Surely, you’re not so crass not to know your own history and all the horrors your nation has inflicted on others.

SO, does this mean you are shocked that the US isn't invading countries and annexing them too?

Reports emerging that jets are bombing Ukraine positions, I hope they don’t expect us to believe these are also “separatists”

I’m not talking about annexion but simple influence. US haven’t really tried to influence any of them hard enough and left them for China to fill the vacuum. Once again, how does it corresponds with US national interests?
