Bombing never won a war.
I seem to remember a couple of bombs at the end of WW2 winning a war. The problem with the Uncle Sam of today is that its overehelming scientific and military advantage is nullified by hand wringing by the media as soon as stiff oposition is encountered, which leeds to fighting asymetrical warfare orientated opponents with both hands tied. Gulf war 1 showed the way U.S needs to take on Isis. Massive force and very quick. Forget nation building.
Au contraire. WWII in the Pacific was won with two bombs. Even in Europe, tens of thousands of bombers over Hitler's Germany turned the tide, as well.
