(Reuters) - Europe should respond to the apparent escalation of the conflict in Ukraine by agreeing to further sanctions against Russia at a European Union summit this weekend, two senior German lawmakers close to Chancellor Angela Merkel told Reuters on Thursday.
If each of the other members of the security council just sent 100 troops to Kiev, it could probably halt the Russian advance if each sent 5,000 the Russians will negotiate if each sent 10,000 Russia will move back and start telling the “rebels” to negotiate.
