Republicans Poised to Recapture Senate
Electoral-Vote.com ^ | 8/26/2014 | Electoral-Vote.com

This is not an article, but rather a summary of what is now showing on the main page of Electoral-Vote.com, an election poll tracking site.

I've been visiting electoral-vote.com for years, and have found that the closer we get to an election, the more accurate their map gets. Recently, and for a long time, they have had Democrats poised to keep control of the Senate, 55 to 45.

However, in recent days it has shifted clearly toward the Republicans. Electoral-Vote.com is now showing the Republicans likely taking control of the Senate. Dems 48, GOP 51, Ties 1

Electoral-Vote.com makes its predictions based exclusively on the aggregate results of major polls. The statistics and predictions are updated daily.

You have to elect them to find out what’s in them.

Now you can see why the Dems were pressuring Justice Ginsburg to retire.

Obama is the gift that keeps on giving as far as the Senate races are concerned. Republicans are capable of having a total of 54 seats when this is over. Of course, 7 seats are very close and could go either way although all are trending Red right now.

Much will depend upon what Conservatives decide to do: Vote R, vote D, or stay home.

we need a veto proof Senate even if a RINO slips through.

America as we know it can’t wait for an election. We are going down fast. The news just shows a microcosm of what is actually happening out there. The do nothing Congress needs to get with it NOW.

I count nothing until Nov 5th. There’s plenty of time for someone to do or say something incredibly stupid just yet.

The first thing you will hear is cries from the dims about “power sharing” in committees if the lose.

The self righteous that stay home will decide some of these then complain endlessly about the outcome.

Don’t count your RINOs until they hatch...

I agree. Nevertheless, it's interesting to see where things are heading.

GOP losses:
Mississippi
Kentucky
South Carolina

51-49

With all the RINOs in the Senate, it’ll be 4-96.

Exactly. Too many stupid Republicans stay home if a candidate isn’t “pure” enough.

Rep wins, not losses.

Larry Sabato tends to make wishes rather than predictions. He gets it right in Democrat wave years.

I count nothing until Nov 5th.
