The Navy is sending a second aircraft carrier strike group to the Asia Pacific region amid new tensions with China over a dangerous aerial encounter between a Chinese interceptor and Navy P-8 surveillance craft.
The strike group led by the USS Carl Vinson departed San Diego for the Pacific on Friday, the Navy said in an announcement of what it terms a “planned” deployment.
China’s military on Saturday, meanwhile, demanded an end to all U.S. monitoring flights and called U.S. criticism of dangerous Chinese jet maneuvers false.
Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Yang Yujun said in a statement that a Chinese fighter jet made a “regular identification and verification” of the Navy P-8 anti-submarine warfare jet during an encounter in an area 135 miles east of Hainan Island.
Yang called Pentagon criticism of the incident “totally groundless” and insisted the Chinese pilot operated professionally and kept a safe distance.

We have a communist in the White House; before they took our capital we’d already abandoned Taiwan and dropped “Red” from “Red China”. We are now joined at the hip; this is just a diversion from the loss of our country.

What we SHOULD do is lock onto the Chinese fighter with a fire-control radar - then SECDEF should tell these scheisse kopfs ‘that was your only warning’. What we WILL do is .....(crickets).

The Chinese better be careful. If they interrupt his golf game he might push the button on them. Nothing interrupts his golf playing. He thinks he's similar to Theodore Roosevelt - speak quietly and carry a big stick. Obama thinks he was referring to golf. Yup, he could blow up the world, such is the idiot we have in the White House.
I don’t see us going to war, we depend on each other a lot.
It’s always follow the money, we have a lot of theirs and their economy isn’t hitting very hard, they’re going to need it back. Shooting up your best customer isn’t good for business and definitely will postpone repayment.
They might shoot up some planes but sink a ship?
