Some detail might be helpful. Generally a body can waltz into a Goodwill and pay cash and nobody cares. Merchants might be taking more precautions with credit cards. Maybe their banks even require such a procedure in order to be covered if the card is later found fraudulent.
Many months ago the TSA added a shoes-ok rule for seniors. How old is the author? I underwent the hand-swab drill when flying a pet cat a couple years ago out of O’Hare on a commercial passenger flight. I carried the cat through an old fashioned metal detector. Then they swabbed for explosives. Then the cat went back in its carrier which had gone through X-ray.
Liberals today have so many cases of the vapors. I wonder if those are explosive vapors. If Islamoterrorists weren’t generally so ostentatious about it, we’d be in a far bigger pickle than we are.
It’s nice to know that terrorists will not be able to sneak exploding cats onto airplanes. PETA wouldn’t like that too much.
