Slight correction: Civil servants first only.

The bill's sponsor came right out and said that it would ban this armor to civilians. But it would still be allowed to police, fire fighters, etc.

From our resident Nipponese Commie over in San Mateo, Mike Honda!

Just wonder if the RINOs will support this bill?

Steel is almost 500 pounds per cubic foot, titanium about 280. How much armor do you want to carry?

"....rounds of bullets..."

You should Learn the language if you wish to post on this forum with any degree of credibility.

Bullets are those little things launched from a firearm that fly through the air until they impact a target or fall to the ground.

A cartridge is composed of a shellcase, primer, propellant powder and a bullet. Multiple cartridges are known as ammunition.

Bullets are to cartridges as flour is to bread as cement is to concrete, etc.

When will the low information folks ever learn?

I am surprised Maxine Waters and Shelia Jackson Lee aren’t co-sponsors.

The citizens should have the same access to to the same weapons and gear the civil servants who interface with them have.

The ONLY exception is Military and they shall not be allowed to interface with the citizens except for relief type actions...ie. Posse comitatus

wjcsux:" I am surprised Maxine Waters and Shelia Jackson Lee aren’t co-sponsors."

Maxine Walters and Sheila Jackson Lee didn't know about the pending bill.
There were no pictures , and
the pending legislation was written in Cursive .

“Clint made his own in A Fistful of Dollars.”

He also armored up that bus pretty well in “The Gauntlet” - only took him a few minutes! ;)

Golly gaijin, them fellers look like frog Space soldiers from the future or sumpin’!

I’ve got some of the gear, the armor, NVG, but I certainly don’t look as fierce as they do.
On the other hand, there are a lot more of us, guys like me then there are of them, so I reckon they’d better remember who they work for.

The question should now be; whose side is Congress on?

Not your side peasant. You pay to support them. If you have body armour, or Heaven forbid, a gun, you are a threat to their kingdom.

I have some leftover steel plate in my garage.
Will I have to register all of it?
What dimensions and thickness would be legal?
