Curtis last summer attended a Mayors Against Illegal Guns rally, which aimed to pressure then-Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) to support expanded background checks. Curtis's brother killed himself playing Russian roulette when he was 16. "If Montana has 2.5 times the suicide rate of states with comprehensive background checks, maybe we should try that out, she told the Montana Standard at the time. A year later, the Montana Standard wrote an article mentioning that newly christened candidate Curtis had attended the rally. She told them, I havent said anything that average Montanans wouldnt agree with. I have simply stated that guns shouldnt be in the hands of the mentally ill and criminals. Thats not too much to ask for, and thats not a radical position.

Ditto.
And, if you lived in Montana(or do)would you vote against her? I think I know the answer. “Liberal and open to big government.” pretty much says it all about her.
“Curtis’s brother killed himself playing Russian roulette when he was 16.”
-I’m sorry this woman lost her brother. That said, 16 is old enough to know that “playing” Russian roulette is not a good idea. Guns are not toys, and should never be treated as one.
“If Montana has 2.5 times the suicide rate of states with comprehensive background checks, maybe we should try that out,
-Post hoc ergo propter hoc - I think. It’s some sort of logical fallacy, anyhoot.
“I have simply stated that guns shouldnt be in the hands of the mentally ill and criminals. Thats not too much to ask for, and thats not a radical position.”
-Neither is wishing for world peace. Doesn’t mean it can be accomplished. Nor does it mean that the means you would employ to try to bring your goal about aren’t themselves radical.
Why would I want to waste any of my time meeting this idiot? Also, consider the source. The Wash (com)Post once ran anti-gun editorials for 350 days in a row.
Hmmm. I wonder if she, like the gabbyandmark puppet show, supports the 2nd amendment..............BUT.............
Obviously a student of detail to make her decision about tres gone’s death and the relevancy of the black hoodie for a black hoodlum. I’m guessin’ she’d just lay back and let tres gone pound her head in to mush using the sidewalk as the weapon.
Who do you think outed Senator John Walsh? He was outed in The New York Times. Does anybody, anybody, think that the New York Times would investigate a tip sent to them by a Republican? It was the Democrats who ended Walsh’s campaign. They saw that he had no chance to win, so they are trying something else. The big complaint the Democrats had was that there were no young Democrat candidates. They view this as a no-lose situation. If she wins....great. If she loses.....her name gets out there.
For those Democrats in Montana who liked Walsh because he was a Veteran, welcome to the Democrat Party. They destroyed one of their own. The Democrat Party has no loyalty except to money.
***I have simply stated that guns shouldnt be in the hands of the mentally ill and criminals.***
Problem solved, 1968.http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/ws/?pid=29197
“Today we begin to disarm the criminal and the careless and the insane. All of our people who are deeply concerned in this country about law and order should hail this day.”
—Lyndon Johnson when he signed the 1968 gun control act into law.
If she would just go get some professional help, maybe she would come to realize that the rampant mental illness in her family has nothing to do with the Constitution.
A blogger who is so bad at grammar and spelling they don't bother to try and type?
Would it make you feel any better little Girl, if they all jumped out of windows?
Easy...I’m the Archie Bunker post moderator and did not preview this one
Playing Russian roulette is not the same as committing suicide...only 1 in 6 chance of success. Playing Russian roulette is just stupid.
Chance go WAY down if you’re using a 1911.
Unless you can outlaw Gravity, Suicide is here to stay.
I would think the long cold winters have a lot to do with the suicide rates.
