What gets me is that Ms. Arab is a woman of Lebanese Christian ancestry, who should full well know how little love there is lost between Muslim and Christian Arabs, and just how her gesture would have been received. There is no limit to suicidal stupidity, unfortunately.

There is NOTHING that Ms. Arab could have done to make that situation right. Anything she tried would have been criticized.
My advice to Ms. Arab: At future events simply state that halal meat will not be available.

I am of the opinion that a warning label should be applied to any halal meat as it has been sacrificed to other gods and as a Christian, I am taught to not eat such things.
