NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — When federal immigration agents surrounded a south Nashville apartment and began banging on doors, the men inside were within their rights to turn off the lights and refuse to answer. The officers did not have warrants, either to search the apartment or to arrest anyone inside, according to court documents

They also argue that officers had a right to stop and question a group of men who had just gotten into their car because the officers believed that some of the men had come from an apartment suspected of being associated with gang activity. They had actually come from a different apartment.

I do not about the window part but complaining about being hispanics being detained and questioned that residents should be thankful the police are doing something about these gangs who many are in this country illegally and who did not mind using deadly force to accomplish their goals. The illegals are well versed enough to know all the laws, expect for the ones that relate to them being in this country illegally and the many ways they break laws to remain in this country. How are illegals able to rent apt's without social security card ? Every apt I ever rented did require a social security number and credit history report or no apt.

These are liars rentals in many cases anyhow. The care appears to be, in most cases, will you keep up with the rent and not trash the place or deal or cook drugs there. And there are now private bureaus that do this sort of looking.

Maybe INS expanded the border area again without telling anyone. Remember when they said 100 miles from the border was close enough so the could inspect without a warrant?

If we don’t start standing up for America, we’re going to lose it completely. We must ask ourselves, could the world survive having TWO Mexicos?
