I had the immense honor of talking to a security detail once or twice. The guys in the suits and earpieces are the visible ones. The ones that get you, you never notice. They are in jeans and hoodies. Whatever blends in to the background.
It’s why the Worm’s “Bear is loose” crap drives his detail nuts. They take their job deadly serious and he makes it exponentially harder.

My oldest daughter graduated from Georgetown University on May 17. We reserved a table at Cafe Milano in Georgetown for a celebration dinner. As we were leaving, we noticed Secret Service guys everywhere - didn’t count them. As we were standing out front waiting for our Uber driver, Biden walked by and into the restaurant surrounded by at least 4 Secret Service guys. One member of our party shouted, “Hey, there’s Joe Biden!” I responded “Biden’s an idiot.” No one seemed to hear me - probably, best.
When the Uber driver finally arrived, he apologized for being late. He said all the streets had been blocked off while Biden was arriving for dinner.
The elites couldn’t care less who they inconvenience on a busy Saturday night in Georgetown.
A quick scan of the headline had me seeing “Joe Biden Dies in Southampton” and thinking that there are worse places to croak.
Oh no! Was my first reaction, thought it said “Joe Biden DIES in Southhampton”. (Saturday morning brain fog)
