Under FDR it was even worse than Garner said. When FDR died, Truman had no knowledge of what was going on. FDR completely shut out Truman. FDR’s daughter knew more about what was going on with the War.

bucket of warm spit. I always heard that quoted as "paper bag full of warm spit", but the real quote is nastier than either.
