I don’t recall the heavy police presence and riot gear in the beginning. Only after the protests turned into riots and buildings were being looted and burned, etc.

I heard Bob Beckel (yeah, yeah, I know ... ) talking about how surprised he was that the majority of the ELECTED officials were white in a predominantly black community and he thought it was just so unusual.

Your article was from yesterday too. Referencing Wednesday night events. The situation was turned over to the State Police on Thursday. The Ferguson Police were relieved.
I watched the “media” feed on the internet Wednesday night of the Ferguson riots. Granted it wasn’t the MSM or even local news but some d-bags from an internet source that won’t be mentioned.
Did the cops know these guys were a-hole posers? Nope.
But the fact is, they egged on the cops just as bad as the ferals were doing. When one of them got hit with tear gas and started retching and barfing, I gotta tell you.

No matter who had been in charge of controlling the protests the first couple of evenings, the riots would have still taken place IMO.
Thats not how I see it. I believe the news media, by their reporting obviously sympathetic to the rioters, are attacking life and property.
I do not expect the rioters to respect the Constitution, but I expect and demand that the police respect and follow the Constitution.
I don’t trust this Patrol Capt. Ronald S. Johnson. He is an appeaser and will ignore the hatred being generated by the Black community. What will he do tonight when the mob erupts tonight?
