The violence stopped because the out-of-town agitators called in by the “reverends” who were not under arrest went back home.

The rioting and looting started before the SWAT teams were there I bet.

Good point. Of course if you let the savages do whatever they want, they don’t have a gripe. Tough they’ll surely find one, they always do. just like when they gripe about the police being too prevalent in their communities, but when the police leave them to it, they all shout at them for not being there to prevent it.

“Or - it could simply be that the vast majority came to their senses when they found out that Big Mike was a strong-arm robbery thug...”

Definitely not it. They didn’t believe it and the accusation made them angrier.

“..our youth are out here without guidance, without leadership.”

Well she has that correct.

And who is that is supposed to giving that guidance and leadership? It is supposed to be the parents, the father and the mother.

But she does not even recognize this.

Her plea is for the government to provided the guidance and the leadership. And oh yea, the government will be none to happy to take on that role. She sees nothing wrong with this, but needs this, wants this, expects this. To her, the government is her savior, to take care and nurture the wayward youths. The government will be happy to do this. The government has set it up so that she will cry out them. This allows the government to be our masters and the government did not do it by force, but was asked, and pleaded by us to be our masters.

Possibly. But removing the wannabe rambos from the situation has cooled it down, I think.

If they were still running it we’d still be seeing stuff on fire.

“It’s ridiculous. Now it’s the police’s fault that people rioted.”

The police attacked members of the media who were just doing their jobs.

That is a police riot, and shows that those police disdain the Constitution.

It also mean that one day when you are just doing your job or exercising your Constitutional Right to peacefully protest the government, that they might tear gas you.

sure. The riots would still be going on if they let them. Heck, they might even pull truck drivers out of their rigs and smash their faces in (and be let go by a jury).

You forgot the PROPER modifiers:
“Now it’s the WHITE, EUROPEAN, CAUCASIAN, NON-BLACK (multiple choice or all of the above) police’s fault that people rioted.”

So THAT’S what caused the riots. Got it.

So. The Libertarians saved the day. Hoo-freaking-ray!

Watch and see how our new tolerant libertaian government reacts to tonite’s riots as new evidence has been realesed today that once again proves the rioters and looters are just common hoodrats overall.

I don’t agree with using the heavy military equipment. What’s to stop the feds from using it the next time conservatives have a protest? Precedent is a dangerous thing.

Protesting is not rioting.

protesting is not rioting

It's a slippery slope about what's called a protest and what's called a riot, especially if the gov is doing the defining.

That in no way explains day 1. By now the outside rioters were gone.

The press should be hands off. Unless they interpose themselves between the protagonists or attempt to manufacture news.

I'd shoot a beanbag at them just for picking sides instad of reporting objectively, but thats just me.

It also mean that one day when you are just doing your job or exercising your Constitutional Right to peacefully protest the government, that they might tear gas you.

Today they're roughing up lawbreakers. Tomorrow they'll rough you up.

By that thinking the police should just stop policing altogether.

That is not at all what I said.

I simply said that when they police shoot tear gas canisters a members of the media who are acting peaceably and doing their job, it is a police riot.
