That question was put to an MSNBC apologist during an interview about 15 minutes ago and the answer was so convoluted it was an non-answer answer.

It was.
Burning and looting the store was payback for the store clerk snitching on Brown and calling the cops.
Notice the “no snitching “ graffiti sprayed on the burned out shell of the gas station.
