5 Race Riots in Obama's Post-Racial America
by Ben Shapiro 11 Aug 2014
Riots and looting in Ferguson, Missouri, over the shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown by a police officer represent just the latest spate of race-based mass violence to break out in President Obamas post-racial America. When Obama was elected in 2008, many Americans hoped that racial conflict in the country would calm. Instead, precisely the reverse seems to have occurred.
Not all riots across the country have been racial in nature, of course. Occupy Wall Street participated in riots repeatedly in 2011, and May Day protesters rioted in Santa Cruz in 2010 and Seattle in 2013, for example. There have also been repeated riots on college campuses over incidents ranging from sporting events to frat parties.
But with every controversial police shooting of a minority victim, the possibility of riots looms these days. Thats been true since well before President Obama took office, thanks to a racial grievance industry based on the tacit threat of violence. But President Obama has done little to tamp down that industry and much to energize it.
Aside from the current violence in Missouri, here are the worst mass racial violence incidents of the past few years:

“Cambridge Police acted stupidly” (where nobody died) ended in beer summit.
The other is his son Treyvon Martin.
Is it me or my bias that says there are more riots when Dems are running the country?
These are not “race riots”. They are simply looting opportunities under the protection of the Fed-DOJ
Indeed to bad some never use logic to understand how they get into a mess.
And then the community activists cry racism when people associate black youths to violence.
I can't help but chuckle at the MSM insanity.
Every news report of the incident begins with ... unarmed child..."
The "unarmed child" was about 6-foot, 200+ pounds and could have strangled every cop in sight with his bare hands!
Our media does a good job of feeding the sheeple of society the lines they want to hear.
Michael Brown committed suicide by cop as far as I can tell based on what has come out.
I think I see the problem here. (Numbers rounded).
There are 37,700,000 Non-Hispanic Black or African American people in the US.
1,872,000 of them are on probation or parole.
885,000 of them are currently in prison.
In both cases, they are about 39% of criminal convictions in the United States, though all blacks or African Americans in the US amount to about 12% of the population of the United States.
This means that they are more than THREE TIMES more likely to criminally offend that other races.
A total of 2,757,000 black Americans who have been convicted of criminal acts. This does not include those who have been released from probation or parole. So the actual criminal behavior of blacks or African Americans in the US is likely much worse.
Nobody is robbing St. Louis Ink Tattoo Studio and Country Guns anytime soon.
The two businesses share a storefront in a strip mall near the center of the riots in Ferguson. Mobs looted multiple stores, even torching a Quiktrip.
Mike Gutierrez(who owns the tattoo shop) and Adam Weinstein(who owns Country Guns) got a group together and went down to protect their stores, with rifles in hand at 12:30 in the morning. Weinstein even had a pistol and a tactical vest as well. "

The rioters have been told for decades that the white man is their enemy, they have been oppressed by racism, the police are all racists and that every Black is a victim. It is no wonder that a single incident can trigger riots. Of course the professional race baiters like Sharpton will just use this as an opportunity to further fan the flames.
Nothing advances social reform like a good looting. /sarcasm
.....And I thought that the old beat-up race card has been “declined”.
