Democrats applaud Obama’s airstrikes in Iraq

Democratic leaders rallied behind President Obama’s decision to authorize airstrikes against Islamic terrorists in Iraq, applauding him for imposing limits on military action and vowing not to send U.S. troops back into Iraq.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said early Friday that it was “appropriate that the President authorized airstrikes against [the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria] should they threaten U.S. personnel and other interests in Erbil or elsewhere in Iraq.”

“As the President reiterated, there is no American military solution to the situation in Iraq,” she said. “Defeating ISIS will require Iraq’s leaders to see beyond their divisions and come together to fight this common threat. These actions are the only way to achieve durable security and stability for all Iraqis.”

But is there a military solution to the ISIS threat? This will come back to haunt the dumb party.

You are overthinking the action.

The effort is not to eliminate ISIS but to contain them and save the Kurds. The message is “back off”

You have to remember this is Obama. He’s not looking for a solution. He knows the public now see him as an enemy and the majority are Christians. This is about saving face and giving the appearance he’s trying to save Christians on the run from militants he trained and armed. I think he figuratively flicked a cigarette out of his car window and started a California wildfire he didn’t antiipate.

Shock and awe (technically known as rapid dominance) is a military doctrine based on the use of overwhelming power, dominant battlefield awareness, dominant maneuvers, and spectacular displays of force to paralyze the enemy's perception of the battlefield and destroy its will to fight. The doctrine was written by Harlan K. Ullman and James P. Wade in 1996 and is a product of the National Defense University of the United States.

To include MOABs if the opportunity arises. Then get out. Like the Israeli's do.

Rush said that Obama only want to help his friends the Yazidis and not any other Christians.

“Yazidi, also commonly spelled Yezidi, is an ancient Kurdish-based religion with historic links to Zoroastrianism, which was founded in what is now Iran. The sect has developed into a separate religion over the centuries: Modern Yazidi recognize a supreme being responsible for creating the Earth, which is overseen by seven angels, according to Christine Allison, a professor of Arab and Islamic Studies at Exeter University in England and author of “The Yezidi Oral Tradition in Iraqi Kurdistan.”

Barack Obama - We’re Leaving Behind a Sovereign, Stable and Self-Reliant Iraq!’

Yeah, not so much....
But anyone that tried to say otherwise was a warmongering racist, right?

The Yazidi are not Christians.

The US did not arm or train ISIS.

Repelling an offensive is not an inflammatory action.

Well I thought Obama sought funds to supply them with arms:

Why applaud? What is there to be happy and celebrate about the use of military force and putting American lives into the danger zone?

Are they children?

It is a job that has to be done and it is not a happy occasion, it is one that needs a grim determination to do the job and do it right.

...“Defeating ISIS will require Iraq’s leaders to see beyond their divisions and come together to fight this common threat.

That's sure not going to happen.

“Yazidi, also commonly spelled Yezidi, is an ancient Kurdish-based religion with historic links to Zoroastrianism, which was founded in what is now Iran”

So now we know. This came from Valerie Jarrett, who coincidentally was born in Iran.

0Zero finally did something useful. They must have polled this airstrike action to dearth and run it past focus groups. But finally Obama and his stooges decided to kick ISIS butt and try to save some Yazdi lives.

I would have bombed ISIS weeks ago. They have been slaughtering Iraqi Christians for weeks

Stop paying attention.
You are supposed to be watching reality TV, not asking questions.
