Barely 24 hours before his death, Patrick Sawyer had a rather strange - and in the words of medical and diplomatic sources here, "Indiscipline" encounter with nurses and health workers at First Consultants Hospital in Obalende, one of the most crowded parts of Lagos, a population of some 21 million inhabitants, FrontPageAfrica has learned.
Looking to get to the bottom of Sawyer's strange ailment on the Asky Airline flight, which Sawyer transferred on in Togo, hospital officials say, he was tested for both malaria and HIV AIDS. However, when both tests came back negative, he was then asked whether he had made contact with any person with the Ebola Virus, to which Sawyer denied.

FrontPage Africa's publisher, Rodney Sieh, later told PREMIUM TIMES by telephone from the Liberian capital, Monrovia, that his paper's extensive reporting on the matter showed clearly Mr. Sawyer knew he had contacted the Ebola virus before travelling to Nigeria.
"He definitely knew he was sick and it was curious that he still decided to travel," Mr. Sieh said. "His sister had died from the virus and he most likely had contact with her."

Sawyer had a lot of close contact with many people. The ebola does not seem to have fulfilled its advertised potential in his case.
Our corporate malware picked up an Add-on from the advertisement and blocked it (like they always block the advertisements on the top of DrudgeReport).
Maybe you should alert the mods to delete this thread or disable the link or something? Most folks will just click and not read down to your comment. Thanks for the warning.
His sister died of Ebola earlier in July and he was with her!
Yes. She died 07 JUL 14. She was in the hospital 02 JUL 14. He was with her in the end.
He died on the 25th, after "crashing/exploding" on the 20th.
If the timetables are correct, He contracted it on the 5-6-7 of July and died approx 20 days later.
That means, by my calendar, that we should see more deaths from today (excluding the nurse whom has already died), that include the five (5) that are in quarantine, and possibly more from the aircraft.
Only God knows where those people are.
Doesn’t bother me.
I just don’t want to someone to click on it without understanding the risks.
Of course, they may have to come back and ask for help but, we’re pretty good about that...
It is called The Dark Continent...
It has not affected my computer, but I have an Apple.
Not sure what you are talking about.
Ebola affects the brain. He had obviously contracted it while caring for his sister, who died of it, and I’m sure he knew that when he boarded the flight and even when he urinated on the flight attendants - but by then his brain was totally gone.
He was an educated, Westernized man and not likely to have done any of this otherwise. I believe it hits the brain a couple of days before you die, and he did in fact collapse and die in the airport there.

Patrick Sawyer, a consultant for the Liberian finance ministry aged in his 40s, collapsed on arrival at Lagos airport on July 20. He was put in isolation at the First Consultants Hospital in Obalende, one of the most crowded parts of a city that is home to 21 million people, and died on Friday.
He took her body and insisted that he do the ritual cleansing after death. That is when a body is particularly infectious.
He was seriously careless in more ways than one.
Ken Isaacs is on C-span right now explaining just how bad it is!!
