In the chaos of any military conflict, even the best generals can find it difficult to work out precisely what is taking place between the warring factions.
Amid the rapidly changing landscape of the battlefield, fighters on the ground need to take spur-of-the-moment decisions to gain the advantage and protect the lives of their comrades. Even with the benefit of sophisticated communications, modern-day combatants will rarely have any profound understanding of what is going on elsewhere on the battlefield.
If this is the predicament facing those actively engaged in the fighting, then just imagine the difficulties experienced by international media organisations charged with providing 24/7 news coverage of a conflict, particularly when their correspondents on the spot have little, if any, contact with those directing operations on either side.
The extensive media coverage of the Gaza conflict is a case in point. Day after day, we have been treated to harrowing accounts, in words and pictures, of the appalling suffering of Palestinians.
But while this is unquestionably an important part of the story, it is not the only issue that needs to be covered. What about the circumstances that led to the attacks in the first place? What about the provocative acts, such as Hamas firing rockets into Israel?

How can anyone reasonably look at both sides in this conflict and reach the conclusion that Israel is the evil, aggressive party? It literally boggles my mind.
Hamas consistently violates the laws of armed conflict. They use indiscriminate rocket and mortar attacks that injure civilians. No. They INTENTIONALLY target Israeli civilians. They try to take civilians as hostages. The place their own forces in mosques, schools, and other non-combatant areas, so as to intentionally maximize civilian casualties for propaganda purposes.
No. There is an evil actor in this conflict, and it’s the religion of piece(s). We in the West are in dire need of another crusade.
Hamas’ charter calls for the destruction of Israel. To me that sums it up..

The Devil is the god of this world. Many serve him accidently, others with hearty intent.
What is that object on top?
Though blurry, it looks like a U.N. flag.
Got it. My eyes deceived me.
Sad and true..... That’s how our current leadership now treat the only democratic government and the greatest ally we have, in that region.
I heard on my car radio yesterday that Israel was being accused of war crimes because they did not give Gaza an iron dome! I don’t know who made that charge. Watching too much tv—when I only get part of a statement I start trying to remember where the fast reverse button is!
UN flag
Amen. Also a close friend of POTUS
Part of implementing chaos is to make any crazy idea into news to confuse us and make the truth illusive. When there is complete chaos the long awaited Mahdi, 12th Imam, can finally rule the world. Ahmadinejad said he’d help him enter. Apparently so did the media.
Very well put. Exactly.
And the media are too blind to realize that the free press would be one of the first casualties if they win. We don’t usually watch Sean Hannity but we’ve been mesmerized by his broadcasts from Israel showing these brave souls who refuse to be driven out of their homes, even though they only have 15 seconds warning of incoming missiles. Truly heartbreaking are the children who have never played outside because it’s too dangerous with these deranged crazies trying to obliterate them all. They worship death and sacrifice children—we worship life and treasure ours. The Israeli women are awesome!
His one hour interview with Netanyahu was incredible!
There are also video of Hamas using UN Ambulances, UN facilities to store rockets and at least one report of a terror tunnel originating at a UN facility.
The Hamas-UN is a terrorist group
And that pretty much sums it up.
