“There was no inherent skepticism and dispassionate study anymore.”
Students are not encouraged to think for themselves. I heard yesterday that the new College Board Advanced Placement high school curriculum for American History reads like a Marxist propaganda piece. The only word about WWII is the claim that bombing Japan was wrong, not a word about Abraham Lincoln. The curriculum that they’ve come up with is a scandalous hatchet piece focusing on accusations of colonialism, slavery, and racism and mass murder. This is what the teachers of the brightest students will be taught, unless their local school district and/or state says “No thanks.” It’s been reported that Texas has said “No thanks.”

Even if a state government says “no thanks” it will leak in because there are so many leftist teachers and the NEA is everywhere. Are those legislatures going to monitor the classrooms?
